We won't quite be having the same lunch today. No onions for the dog. He does love a bit of liver though :)

You’ve reminded me that I really ought to cancel a card I no longer use but keep ‘just in case’.

It will feel good indeed to get rid of a couple more cards, that’s when you’ll start to feel you’re really getting somewhere.

Well done getting the WFH tax refund. I haven’t applied because the heating etc would be on anyway as Mr SA is at home all day.

I think you should apply anyway. It covers a whole host of things not just the heating and is applicable for anyone working from home. Your home circumstances are not taken into account. The form was super simple to fill in and it is a bit extra money in your pocket each month or to put towards a debt repayment.

  • My OH has applied for and received WFH tax refund, even though I am home most of the time as our children have always been home educated.

Every little helps indeed. I have added the extra £43, well actually I have rounded it up to £50, onto my payment for Credit Card 3 next month making the payments on that card £300 per month. All helps to get it paid off that bit quicker :)

Thanks @RelievedSheff I’ve just put in my claim for WFH. I was a bit hesitant because work have paid for my equipment plus because I work for the government I forget I’m a taxpayer too 😂

To top the day off we have just had an email from work to say that as we can't have an office Christmas party this year they are going to arrange for us all to get a Christmas hamper and some gift vouchers instead which is nice of them.

Are you pleased to have closed the cards? I am concerned some of my card providers might try similar with ones I have which are clear and not being used.

Fantastic news re tax / hamper.
