That certainly would be rewarding to get rid of two debts in the next few months.RelievedSheff said:Just been formulating a plan for the finances for the next few months.
After this months £150 payment the balance on Card 4 will be £400. So I will increase the repayments on this card to £200 so that card will be paid off at the end of April.
By that time the balance on the Paypal Account will be £240 so I am going to aim to have that paid off in full in May.
It will be time for a little review then and see what the plans are for Cards 6 and 7. We are happy to let the motorhome HP loan just run it's course and would like to see the credit cards with £0 balances by the time we come to remortgage again, but that is 4 years away so we have plenty of time. So we need to decide if we throw the spare money at the credit cards or if we throw the spare money into a savings account. With the cards on 0% deals I am leaning towards the savings option.
An alternative is to focus on the £2500 card 6 where the deal finishes in August as you have some leeway on the other two until the end of the year. If you dropped the card 4 and paypal to £50 each month you would have an extra £150 each month plus the £250 from the car loan so £500 towards card 6 each month clearing it in 5 months by August. The card 4 would be £300 and payplan £200 so that would be cleared in September. Just leaves you with card 7 then.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free Wannabe, Budgeting and Banking and Savings and Investment boards. It will be a no spends day today. Number 6 for February. Not planning to go anywhere today. The weather forecast looks awful.
Our friends are planning to leave mid afternoon so we have this morning with them.
It will be a full monty big breakfast this morning, we have some left over curry for lunch and then tonight we are having roast chicken with all the trimmings for dinner.
It has been great catching up with friends this weekend and we must book it in again for sometime soon. I think we have decided that next time we will meet them out and about somewhere us in the van and them in a B and B which will be nice. Hopefully in better weather next time. The weather has really scuppered our plans this time.0 -

Will have a rethink of the plan. The initial idea with card 6 had been to switch it to one of the other cards in August which are offering 18 months 0% deals. Then get it cleared in 12 months.
Will give it some further thought.0 -

0.9% is the cheapest offered so not overly onerous.enthusiasticsaver said:

We have a deal in our house (or van). If I cook the other half washes up. If he cooks I wash up.Crazycatlady2 said:Hope you don’t mind me commenting. So it's normally the other half's problem 🤣🤣🤣2 -
It has been a brilliant weekend. It was nice to have a good catch up and we have booked the next one in for mid June.milann said:Sounds like you’ve had a great weekend 👍
They are very good friends we made from the boat but we have both since sold the boats and moved onto other things. We make sure we catch up when we can though.
This morning we went for a very muddy walk around Sherwood to see the Major Oak. They had never been before. Shame the weather was not great.

We got back home dry and warm again and they went home about an hour ago. Just had a very wierd squall here. Difficult to get a picture of but it was proper horizontal rain and really strong winds.
