Turns out the pair of pheasants is two pairs of pheasants.

Got a lot of plucking to do when we get home 🤣🤣🤣
  • Excellent blag on the pheasants! I’m not a fan if it’s hung for long but quite like it a bit “newer”.

Sounded like a great day yesterday - hope the bar bill isn’t too much of a nasty surprise! 😂

Sounds like you’ve had a lovely weekend. Got to admit I’m not a fan of the thought of the pheasants but enjoy.

  • We love pheasants.

Looks like I have some plucking to do later.

Well that was a messy job 🤣🤣🤣

Done now though. Two in the fridge to roast later on and two in the freezer.
  • Never plucked a pheasant, although I seem to recall we did some wood pigeons many years ago. I have skinned rabbits a few times though - now THAT is a satisfying task!

You'll be finding feathers for ever more!  I know when DH plucked a duck I was constantly finding feathers and not just in the kitchen, they seemed to have floated all over the house!

We dealt with them outside on the patio table. Too messy a job for the kitchen 🤣🤣😍

My husband has a friend who provides us with pheasants.  We just rip the breasts out and bin the rest.  Our English Springer Spaniel looks on lovingly....!
