Sorted the other halfs phone just now. No need to call and haggle they had some brilliant deals online for him. We have been with 3 for donkey's years now and we always get good renewal deals with them.
He has now got 12GB of data, unlimited calls and texts, etc. for £10 per month.
That's a saving of £22 per month.2 -

We need to start saving something now so that bills such as new phones and car repairs etc. can be paid as and when they come up rather than relying on finance and credit cards.
His phone is only a couple of years old so it should be fine for a while yet. Just checked and it is July when my contract expires so I will do the same and get a sim only deal. The saving will be even more for my phone. Its currently £57 per month!!2 -
We buy our phones unlocked. For many years we have been with giffgaff the great thing is monthly you can change your goody bag (plan) to meet your needs.Fashion on a ration 2025 0/66 coupons spent

I stopped having personal phones - all through the business now but on the subject of saving up for them - rather than doing that have a look at apple upgrade programme; it's 0%. The other one some of my staff uses is sky mobile - again 0% deal on the phone and the network is Sky but they are effectively O2 so very well supported.
I think phones last longer than they used to - can get 3/4 years from an iPhone unless you're particularly bothered about camera features which I appreciate you may be, @RelievedSheff. Even my wife has said she is happy to upgrade every 2 years rather than every year as she used to.

The contract has just finished on my phone so I’m sim only until the phone starts playing up, hopefully not for a while yet. I like tidying up my direct debits, it’s a very satisfying job indeed if you can find some to delete.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)2

Should hopefully have a few more to get rid of in the next six months or so.1
