Hooray for fuel. Happy Holiday 👍
    January spends - £587.58
  • It has been a long drive today. 5.5 hours with a half hour pit stop.

We have had a lovely afternoon with family to stretch our legs after the drive and now it's time to chill out. Looking forward to a night time walk on the beach later.

They are rationing fuel here. We wet the vans whistle with £30 worth!

That looks lovely. Glad you’ve arrived safely and managed to top up with fuel. Rationing it is a good idea, will stop the greedy ones with the Jerry cans.
I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)
  • It should be a low spends day today. If we pass a petrol station with diesel we will top up. Should only take about £30. No other spends today planned though.

Breakfast and dinner will be from stores. Dry cured smoked bacon and egg sandwich for breakfast and roast chicken with all the trimmings later on for dinner.

Today we are heading for Loch Lomond.

It was a very blowy night here. The wind woke us up rattling the open roof hatches. We had to get up and shut them. The sea is still roaring on the beach this morning. Not got up to have a look yet though.

Sounds bliss, apart from the roof hatch noise 😬 Will the lack of diesel affect your trip too much? How many miles around Scotland are you planning?

    More photo’s required please 😁

We reckon it could be close to 2000 miles by the time we get home.

We will just have to wait and see how the fuel situation affects the trip. We will just get some as and when we can. Not going to worry about it.
  • We didn't get fuel in the end so it will be a no spends day.

The weather is very moody here on Loch Lomond. We are due some heavy rain overnight.
