It looks beautiful. Glad you found somewhere to top up on fuel.

  • Just need the weather to improve a bit tomorrow now. Had a message from the ferry company this afternoon that says our ferry to Skye tomorrow could be cancelled at short notice due to poor weather conditions 😲

Weather aside it looks absolutely stunning shame about the ferry - all being well the weather will be a bit better tomorrow. It’s brightened up in NG we have blue skies and sun but no views like that lol.

    Fingers crossed for you.

You've made me want to go back to Glencoe - we stayed years ago in a hotel in Ballachulish. Also been to the Drovers Inn.

The closest we've ever come to running out of fuel was driving to Mallaig.

We definitely have enough fuel to get to Mallaig tomorrow 🤣🤣🤣

The dog was not impressed with the Drovers. He hated the stuffed brown bear in reception and was then growling at the stuffed animals in the dining room. To top it off he was very suspicious of the three guys in kilts who served us breakfast. We wondered if he had caught a glimpse of what was under a kilt 🤭

I thought the Drovers was creepy - he could probably sense the ghosts lol
  • It's a good job we decided to move on from Glen Etive with zero phone or Internet reception. Our ferry for tomorrow has just been cancelled.

But we have managed to ring them and get through and change our booking to an earlier crossing at midday.

They have cancelled every other crossing because each one is going to take longer with the sea state.

Moving to here means we managed to get the cancellation notification but also that we are much closer to the ferry terminal so we don't have to set off quite so early.

Fml re dog. That’s good news you’ve got a ferry crossing.
  • It should be a low spends day today. We just need to pick up some milk and bread and a couple of bits from the shop when we get the chance.

We are heading across to Skye assuming the ferry sails today. The weather is awful again. We had a really rough night with the van being blown around terribly for an hour or so mid night.

Hopefully the weather will calm down a little today. If the ferry does sail I assume it will be a rough crossing 🤔
