That’s a real shame about the weather hadn’t considered it would affect the van but makes sense I hope the weather improves for you hol turning into a disaster - hope you can find some optimism and it gets better soon.2

It's all part of the adventure 😀alt80 said:That’s a real shame about the weather hadn’t considered it would affect the van but makes sense I hope the weather improves for you hol turning into a disaster - hope you can find some optimism and it gets better soon.
We are enjoying ourselves anyway and the scenery is making up for the atrocious weather.
Ben Nevis just behind us, had its first snow of the year last night 🤔2 -
I love your positive attitude to life mate. Snow already - different world up there glad you can still enjoy the scenery despite the weather.0

It is. The temperature outside never got above 9 degrees yesterday and that was at the bottom of the mountains 🤔alt80 said:I love your positive attitude to life mate. Snow already - different world up there glad you can still enjoy the scenery despite the weather.
We are starting to get the idea that weather forecasts are not very reliable in these parts. If it says it will rain it means proper biblical rain. If it says it won't rain it means we will get heavy rain 😀1 -
Isnt therea road bridge to Skye that you could use? Sorry if I have got that wrong.

Yes there is. Its just a long way round from where we will be. We are coming back of Skye via the bridge.ladyholly said:Isnt therea road bridge to Skye that you could use? Sorry if I have got that wrong.
Ferry fare is £16.50 fuel to drive round to the bridge will be about £40 😀1 -
That explains the ferry. I would do the same.0

The ferry was quite lively. It rolled like a pig for the whole crossing. There were some very green faces by the time we pulled into Skye 🤣🤣🤣
We are now parked up for the night over looking a lovely bay. Just had some excellent fish and chips. No joy on stocking up on food though. Will give that another go tomorrow.

We didn't have a problem at all. One poor lady asked us as we were getting back onto the car deck how we managed to stay so calm and jovial for the journey.
Just had a message to say they have cancelled the rest of today's ferries so only way on and off the island just now is the bridge which is often shut to high sided vehicles when it's windy 🤔1
