Being a neat freak I couldn't bear having wet washing hanging around the house.  I don't have room for a TD in my kitchen so it's in the shed. I don't have room in the garden for a clothes line either as washing would get tangled in shrubs so I have a big clothes airier which I use on the patio and that is the best I can do. That's also kept in the shed.
I'm the same. I hate having washing hung around.

Just a thought, it's only in the UK that it's customary to have washing machine and tumble dryers in the kitchen, on the continent washers are usually ok n the bathroom.  However that would mean plumbing in so possibly not something that you want to consider.  You could put a tumble dryer in the bathroom, I've got one in the third bedroom which is used as an office. Having said that I don't actually use it at all , with one person it's not needed.

And when I was going to work I'd put the washing machine on when I went to bed then hung out washing before I went to work, an option for next spring maybe when you get your retractable line and it's worth leaving out the washing all done.
  • @peb l remember an episode of location location with a guy who rejected a property with the washing machine in the bathroom. Kirsty was very cross! 😂

I must admit I am not a fan of kitchen appliances being in other rooms around the house. It just doesn't sit right with me. They belong in the kitchen!

£150 paid off credit card 1 today. Only one last payment remaining on this one :)

Other than the above it will be a no spends day.

Breakfast, lunch and dinner will be from stores. Breakfast was toast, the other half has taken his packed lunch to work, I think I will have a jacket potato for lunch and it is Fakeaway Friday tonight, so dinner tonight is pizza and some sides and dips.

    Today's jobs include:
    • working from home
    • vacuuming the house
    • walking the dog x 2
A quieter day today than some.

The dog was beside himself last night with all of the fireworks going off. He really didn't know what to do with himself. He wouldn't go out for his last wees before bed so we didn't force him. He eventually settled down on the other halfs jumper next to the bed wrapped in a fleece throw which is where he stayed until 2.30am when he woke us up desperate to go out in the garden for a wee. Thankfully he is much better this morning and has gone out for his usual morning walk with the other half no problem. I will take him out at lunchtime and take him out again after work, hopefully before the fireworks start again!

Thankfully my dog and cat aren't bothered at all by fireworks.  One of my work friends puts a big sock with the toes cut off over her dog's head and it works a treat. I've also seen something called a Happy Hoodie advertised.

Well done on nearly clearing card 1.

    Have a great day 😁
I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)

Yes we are hoping that the worst of the fireworks is over now and it should just the odd few stragglers over the weekend. Feel so sorry for the dog but there is nothing else we can do for him other than comfort him and try to make him feel safe. He is currently fast asleep in his bed in the kitchen catching up on some sleep he missed last night.

We will take him out for some good long walks this weekend to cheer him up :)

It is annoying me now that the balance on Card 1 is so close to being payed off. Torn between finding the £150 from another budget and being tight on spends somewhere else this month and just leaving it for 30 days. I know leaving it is the sensible thing to do, it is only 30 days, but it just bugs me to have such a small balance sat there  :/

Fakeaway Friday was something we did during the last lock down so we have decided to do it again this time.

In other news it now looks like the other half might be furloughed after all. The work just isn't coming in so the boss is considering furloughing the senior members of staff and keeping the place running with the youngsters. It doesn't make any difference to us as I said previously, we are in a better position then some of the other lads there and can manage just fine with the wage reduction. We will hopefully find out more later today.
