A no spends day today.
Breakfast and dinner will be from stores. Scottish breakfast again this morning and roast pork with all the trimmings this evening for dinner.
We are taking the dog out for a long walk in the woods this morning.
We have someone coming to do us a quote for extending the patio and building the shed base this afternoon. Its the same company who did us some work earlier in the year and we were very happy with that work.3 -
We had a really nice and relaxing weekend and the sum total of the spends for the weekend was £25. If only all weekends were so cheap.
Today will be a but of a spendy day.
We have a Tesco home delivery coming this morning. No spends other than this for today though.
Breakfast, lunch and dinner will be from stores. Breakfast was crumpets, the other half has taken his packed lunch to work, I will grab something from the fridge for my lunch and we have loads of left over roast pork so I will make something with that tonight for dinner. Pork in black bean sauce maybe.
Today's jobs include:- working from home
- sorting and putting away home delivery
- vacuuming the house
- wrapping the dogs Christmas and birthday presents
- walking the dog x 2

That’s a great result for weekend spending - one advantage of lockdown I suppose.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)4

Home delivery has just arrived and amazingly everything that we ordered was delivered, no substitutions at all.
The dogs birthday and Christmas presents are wrapped and put away and Christmas dessert is now in the freezer so Christmas is now in the bag.
Just need to stock up on Christmas booze now. The spirits cupboard is full so won't need anything for in there and I have just put some mixers away. So it is really only some cans and bottles of ale for the festive period. Will add a couple of extra cases to our next couple of home deliveries and we will be sorted.

We haven’t spent anything either this weekend definitely the lockdown effect lol. Also managed to get Christmas in the bag apart from food. I told in laws they could forget it this Christmas but wife wants them here if Boris let’s us so probably going to have to have them over. Will just have to get really interested in cooking keeps me out of FILs way ha.3

We spoke with the other half's mum over the weekend and have decided that even if we are allowed Christmas with family through some sheer stroke of luck we won't do it anyway. We don't feel it is worth the risk. We will have a big family get together next summer when the weather is better and Covid is retreating for the warmer months.
So just the two of us and the dog this year and a mountain of food to get down3 -
In laws are both in good health and aren’t really bothered about covid so not going to get away with ‘too much of a risk’ lol I wish. If it meant I never had to deal with FIL again covid lockdown can stay forevermore haha.2

Just got the quote for the garden works and it is a lot less than we expected which is brilliant. About half of what we were expecting!
Just need to find out when they can fit us in now.4 -
Brilliant news re garden. Meant to be having Indian summer over next ten days so maybe some time to enjoy it if they get their skates on.3
