I've got a friend who uses a tumble dryer all year round because she thinks hanging the washing outside spoils the appearance of her garden. Apart from that she's completely normal 🤣
Ha Ha! There's nowt as strange as folk!!

I don't mind hanging the washing out when I am at home. We think we will get one of the retractable ones for next summer rather than draping it all over the patio furniture!

Nothing really going to be different for us today in lockdown 2.0 either.

The dog going to work made me smile!
He loves going to work with the other half. He sits in the office with the receptionist most of the day but at break times and lunchtime is allowed into the garage. He likes meeting and greating the customers and barking at the delivery drivers
  • I had a washer dryer but found the dryer wasn't that great on it. When the guy came to collect it he told me washer dryers generally go wrong more than just a washing machine does and he wouldn't recommend having them combined. I put it on the line when can and have now got a dehumidifier for when indoors on a airer. Also needed one anyway due to damp issue but it's helped a lot and fairly cheap to run.

I absolutely agree that in an ideal world we would have separate units but as I have said a few times now we just don't have the space and during normal times when I am working in the office there just isn't the time to hang the washing out when we are out of the house for 12 hours a day.

When it is working this washer dryer actually does dry things well.

On the back of yesterday's drying success I have stuck another load in just now. No doubt it will let me down now I have put the towels in  :)
  • Good luck hope you manage to get it to keep working for you 👍

I'm not holding out much hope if I'm honest  :|
  • When we were both out at work full time we would put the laundry on the airer in the evening as we didn't have much time in the morning.

    Not drying today  :/

At least the weather is nice enough today to put it outside to dry!
  • Being a neat freak I couldn't bear having wet washing hanging around the house.  I don't have room for a TD in my kitchen so it's in the shed. I don't have room in the garden for a clothes line either as washing would get tangled in shrubs so I have a big clothes airier which I use on the patio and that is the best I can do. That's also kept in the shed.
All that clutter used to be money

Having not seen the postman all week he has been three times today. Once with some parcels this morning, then again with the post at about lunchtime and again just now with another parcel!

He has been a busy chap today that's for sure.

It does mean that I have managed to wrap the last of the other half's Christmas presents this afternoon. Just waiting for the dogs present to arrive hopefully on Monday with a home shopping delivery, then I will wrap these Monday and we are then officially done for Christmas bar a drive round to socially distanced deliver the presents to family.
