This one has cost us £1200 for the week. Its like anything. You can pay as much or as little as you like. This is a mid range sort of boat.

Had a surprise phone call from the dealer with the metal sign we were after last week. He came back too us with a good price we were all happy with so we have had a run out to pick that up. It is now residing in the kitchen above the dining table.

We had always dismissed new builds. I see enough of them through work and know plenty have their problems. But we both fell for this one as soon as we walked through the door. It just felt right. The layout suits how we live down to the ground.

They are bland boxes when you buy them but we are turning this one very much into our home.

Can't imagine life without our dog now. He is a proper character and he gets us out and about every day.

I love the sign and your dog is just adorable 😍

I worked in estate agents for over 10 years and sometimes used to cover the show homes on new build sites at weekends. I used to come back home and look at my ancient house and wish I had a new one. I like the size of the rooms in my old house but like the newness of a new build. Mind you we've done that much to our house over the years most of it is more or less new now.

It wasn't the newness that attracted us more the layout of the house.

£50 has gone into the ISA today and I have rounded the bank balance to the pound.

Today will be a no spends day other than the above. The first of many this week as we spent far more than expected over the weekend.

Breakfast, lunch and dinner will be from stores. Breakfast was a bacon and black pudding sandwich (we didn't have a full english yesterday so was using up what was left), the other half has taken his packed lunch to work, I think I might have soup for my lunch and dinner will be some left over lamb from yesterday's roast dinner which I will turn into a lamb and mint casserole in a Yorkshire pudding served with some vegetables.

    Today's jobs include:
    • working from home
    • vacuuming the house
    • dusting the house
    • wrapping Christmas presents as they arrive
    • walking the dog x 2 (hopefully this wind and rain will die down by dinnertime!)

Your jobs lists sounds like mine, apart from wrapping Christmas presents that is. Have a great day.

    Today's jobs include:
    • working from home
    • 2 x loads of washing
    • cleaning the kitchen
    • putting dinner in the slow cooker
    • wrapping Christmas presents as/if they arrive
    • walking the dog x 2

Your jobs list really does sound like mine today even down to the slow cooker beef (for Mr SA not me). I need to check what wrapping paper/gift tags I have left over from last year. It's a great idea to chip away with small amounts on debt/savings, it's amazing how it soon builds up.  Have a good day.
