Just done a happy dance around the kitchen. Got an email from Noddle to say I had new offers available for balance transfer cards. One of them was 27 months 0% balance transfer with a 1.2% transfer fee. Thought why not give it a try and have been accepted
Dead chuffed. The credit limit is £11,200 so not quite enough to cover both Cards 4 and 5 but there won't be much of a balance left to clear once the balance transfers have gone through and I should be able to clear the remaining amount pretty quickly.
Things are definitely looking up on the credit card debt front.
I will close Card 4 account down once the transfer has cleared and leave Card 5 open for emergency use.3 -
We have a garden pond but only goldfish in it now. We had Koi and Golden Orfe but they got huge so we re homed them as they bullied the little goldfish. They really need a huge pond or lake and ours is not huge.
Good that some of the interest bearing debt moved to 0% and hope you can get the remainder sorted gradually. When does the 0% deal finish on card 4?I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free Wannabe, Budgeting and Banking and Savings and Investment boards. Just need to see what the remaining balance will be after the balance transfers and see how best to deal with that. But it will be great to get the majority of the card debt onto a long term 0% deal.
I'm still struggling to believe just how much our finances have improved in the last 12 months

Great news about the cards. I’m visiting family for first time since lockdown 1 & have been to Newark today 😆 We called off after buying dog food in bulk from long Bennington saving £68 on 5 x 15kg bags compared to what it costs down south. Missed all the rain while we were there too 😁0% credit card £1360 & 0% Car Loan £7500 ~ paid in full JAN 2020 = NOW DEBT FREE 🤗
House sale OCT 2022 = NOW MORTGAGE FREE 🤗
House purchase completed FEB 2023 🥳🍾 Left work. 🤗
Retired at 55 & now living off the equity £10k a year (until pensions start at 60 & 67).

I am absolutely made up for you @RelievedSheff getting onto the 27 months 0% will make a massive difference over that term.1

It will be a no spends day today.
Breakfast, lunch and dinner will be from stores. Breakfast was a bacon and egg sandwich, the other half has taken his packed lunch to work, I am grabbing something quick from the fridge and dinner tonight is air fried belly pork with rice and curried vegetables.
It is going to be a busy few days at work trying to rescue a job that someone else has royally cocked up. So some long days and working into the evenings for the next few days for me.Don't think I will have much time for jobs around the house so the other half will pitch in and do them.
Really annoys me that I am expected to sort this rubbish out and no one will be doing my jobs so I will have to catch up with them next week as well.1
