Good you managed to get some of that interest bearing debt on to 0% even if a highish BT fee. Aiming for mortgage free is great and gives you options re reducing working hours once the debt then the mortgage is gone but in these low interest times increasing pension payments makes more sense economically. Being mortgage free makes sense from a security point of view though. Check out sea shells pension diary as they retired in their 40s and live very comfortably on a fairly frugal income.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free Wannabe, Budgeting and Banking and Savings and Investment boards. We enjoyed a good day out with the dogs brother yesterday.
And our dog did eventually let the in laws dog in the house, just.
It will be a no spends day today.
Breakfast and dinner will be from stores. Full English for breakfast and roast chicken with all the trimmings later on for dinner.
In laws are going home after breakfast so our dog might chill out a bit then. Not sure what we are doing for the rest of the day. The weather forecast doesn't look great. Will need to get out somewhere to walk the dog though.2 -
No spends day went out of the window. We have given up trying to get the dog hair out of the door mat so went to the garden centre to buy a new one. £14 spent today.
We had a nice walk around Newark on the way back dodging the showers.
Now back home preparing dinner. Dog is fast asleep.1 -

Not been to Newark for ages. There used to be a direct bus run there quite regularly from the top of our road, now it only goes as far as Southwell which is a shame. Your dog and his brother are two cute peas in a pod ☺️I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)1

No way could I live with a dog that sheds so much full time.
We tried to keep him in the kitchen to limit the spread of the hair but it is still all over the house. It's going to take a lot of vacuuming this week to get rid of it all. You open a door and more hair appears from out of nowhere 🤔
And don't get me started on the smell. He absolutely stinks.0 -
