Not a no spends day today. The other half is going to pick us a KFC up for dinner tonight on his way home from work.

Breakfast and lunch will be from stores though. Breakfast was cereals, sultana bran for me and shredded wheat for the other half, the other half has taken his packed lunch to work and I am going to have a jacket potato for my lunch today.

    Today's jobs include:
    • working from home
    • cleaning the bathrooms
    • cutting the grass if it is dry enough
The other half has taken the dog to work today. We need to get him back into it. Looks like I am going back to the office on the 23rd of this month unless something changes again.

Should be a no spends day today.

Breakfast, lunch and dinner will be from stores. Breakfast was toast, the other half has taken his packed lunch to work and dinner tonight is lasagna.

    Today's jobs include:
    • working from home
    • vacuuming the house
    • dusting the house
    • loading up the van
    • making lasagna
    • walking the dog x 2
We have both had really busy weeks at work this week so we are both looking forward to jumping in the van tonight and heading out for a couple of nights. We don't plan to go far, just half an hour up the road to a nice village by the river with some lovely dog walks. Fingers crossed we can get a space though. It is a popular spot!

Hope you manage to find a spot for your van. Do you have to pay for parking it overnight at most of these places? I do a lot of coastal walking and note the signs seem everywhere saying no overnight parking for vans.

Lasagna sounds nice. Enjoy your weekend.

It depends where we are if we have to pay or not. Where we are going tonight is free. Some are the cost of parking, other places state no overnight parking. It really is a mixed bag. We are lucky where we are based that there are loads of free places we can park. If we can get where we want to tonight then it will be a free couple of nights.

Not a great start to the day though. The other half has just rung up to say that the bin men have just damaged his car. At least he is in the right job to sort it out!!

At least it was their fault rather than his and he can sort it out at work. Not want you want on a Friday 13th 😬
I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)

I would start by taking photos of the damage and getting in touch with your council. They should put it right and even if you dont want to claim against them they should be told.
I hope your day improves and your have a lovely weekend.

He has taken photos of it and got the chaps names and the number to ring. To be fair to the chaps working the lorry it wasn't their fault. A wheel has come off a bin when they have lowered it from the back of the waggon and it has bounced down the side of the car putting a big dent in the door.

It will get sorted but the other half is quite rightly miffed about it. It is the only damage on the car!

Have a good weekend in the van mate, I can def see how it could be a break from work etc. Do you tend to not take work laptop etc and not check emails, just switch off completely?

Hope your OH car hasn't sustained too much damage.
