Have a good weekend in the van mate, I can def see how it could be a break from work etc. Do you tend to not take work laptop etc and not check emails, just switch off completely?

Hope your OH car hasn't sustained too much damage.
Come 4pm the work computer will be turned off and I will not see it again or anything work related until 7am Monday morning.

The weekend is mine, not works!!

This is something more people need to remember and employers (and colleagues) need to respect. Most people in most jobs do not need to be available all the time. It does not support peoples mental health to not switch off from work.

Had to switch to Plan B for the weekend with the van. Plan A was full when we arrived.

Never mind. It's a lovely peaceful spot here anyway and there is a lovely pub a couple of miles walk up the canal to visit tomorrow.

At least you got there in the end mate. Suppose it's the risk you take if you aren't visiting a site?

Might be worth leaving the plan A site until the school holidays are done. Sounds like you’ve found a nice place anyway and as long as it involves a decent pub what’s not to like 😆
I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)

Yes it's always the risk we are taking. To be fair it's the first time we have not found a space where we had wanted to be.

No great problem. It is very nice here where we have ended up anyway. It was so quiet last night 😀

It should be a low spends day today.

Breakfast and dinner will be from stores. Duck eggs and soldiers for breakfast and pie, chips, onions rings and mint and chilli mushy peas for dinner later.

We will have a wander along the canal to the pub at lunchtime for a couple of pints but that will be the extent of the spends today.

Have a lovely weekend. Hope the weather stays dry for your canal walk.
