We bought a 6 man tent a few years ago, one of those purchases u make without thinking. For about 5 years it has sat under our bed not seeing the light of day. Last year our DS and his family used it for the first time and loved it. The other week we decided that they could keep it as we definitely have decided we aren’t tent people. We have all our bedroom windows open at the moment, the only problem is I have to get up and shut them about 5 in the morning as the dawn chorus is a little too loud at that time in the morning.X

We used to tent most weekends before we got the boat   then it was occasionally for events. This will be the first time since 2016 we have tented.

The dog is loving it. Don't think it will be a problem with him. Bbq is on now. Will be eating shortly,  then taking the dog for a good walk and retiring to the tent.

    We must be mad 🤣🤣🤣

    Happy camping ⛺️
We’ve been out for the day and come home to the house like an oven. I’ve got every door and window open and tiny fan in the bedroom there is a nice breeze blowing through now.
    The garden is looking good.

At least if you're camping in your own garden you know that the shower block is clean and hygienic 😁

It should be a low spends day today. Need to get the fruit and vegetables from the farm shop,  we didn't get round to that yesterday.

Breakfast and dinner will be from stores. Bbq breakfast and later on we are slow cooking a lamb shoulder on the bbq and some vegetables. Not something we have tried before so we will see how we get on with it!

Not planning to do much else today. Need to put this tent away but it looks like it will be too hot to walk far with the dog. There are some local woods with a river so might go in there and let him play in the river.

We all slept well in the tent last night. It was definitely cooler than our bedroom.

We took the dog for a bit of a walk in some local woods with a river. It was nice and cool in there and he was happy splashing around.

Just waiting for the sun to move round so we can get the tent down now without frying.
