Yay to sub £39k. Taking off the van loan and only £16.3k or so left from the original amount is rather good too.
I'll be glad when the heat relents -we (and our houses) are just not made for it. I go to bed with wet hair and a fan near my head - its a race to see if I can get off to sleep before my hair dries and the cooling effect disappears. Miserable fail last night.2 -
Good to be below sub £39k now. It is too hot for me. I cannot do my coastal walks at the moment as too hot and exposed up there and to add insult to injury my Granddaughter has given me her cold. :'(. We have doors, windows, fans going and spend most of our day under the gazebo outside to keep cool. I think it relents on Friday.
The Covid rates are going to get higher. We are not changing our behaviour even now restrictions raised. Still avoiding public places or at least wearing masks and definitely not going near the Covid hotspots near us like Plymouth and Newquay.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free Wannabe, Budgeting and Banking and Savings and Investment boards. Just been shopping and was pleased to see that the majority of people are still sanitising hands, wearing face coverings and trying to social distance; in fact it seemed like more people were behaving than were before it all changed yesterday!

Hmm. Think our bbq might end up being a mixed grill tonight. It is absolutely bouncing down here right now!0

Rain? You have rain? Please send it in a SW direction - we're not expecting any in Gloucestershire until Saturday at the earliest. It would be nice to be able to sleep at night again.RelievedSheff said:Hmm. Think our bbq might end up being a mixed grill tonight. We got the rain earlier than you 1.45 pm, mind you it came from the south and headed your way. It flooded it down for about 1 hour but it's dried up very quickly. If you go down to the woods today you better not go alone.0

None here in the SE but we did have some thunder. It is certainly cooler than it has been for the last few days.0

We're still in an Amber warning from the Met Office of 'extreme heat' until Friday. The dog is frying.#2 Saving for Christmas 2024 - £1 a day challenge. £325 of £3660
