That looks nice and cool for him. Our dog is in and out of her paddling pool today.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0

It was lovely and cool. Could go back now.
We got the tent down in double quick time. It's surprising how things come back to you. We both just instantly remembered how it packed away after 5 years or more of not having used it. Only took ten minutes to pack away which was good really given the heat.
Lamb is marinating in the fridge ready to go on the bbq a bit later. We reckon about four hours on a very low heat should see it slow cooked to perfection.
Just need to fathom out how I'm going to do the potatoes, parsnip, carrots and beetroot on there now 🤔0 -
First of the beetroot crop going on the bbq later.

£251 paid to the car HP loan today.
Other than the above it will be a no spends day.
Breakfast, lunch and dinner will be from stores. Breakfast was granola, the other half has taken his packed lunch to work, I'm having cajun lamb wraps for my lunch and dinner today is enchilladas made with the left over lamb from last night's slow cooked BBQ lamb (which worked really well)
Today's jobs include:- working from home

- dusting the house
- 2 x loads of washing to hang on the line to dry
- walking the dog

Almost below the £39k now. It is a scorcher today so good call on not walking the dog midday. I did a coastal walk yesterday and got up at 5.30am to set off for it. I bet the walk was lovely at that time of day.
Just had to take the dog for a walk, it was still too hot for it really. He won't go in the garden unless it is an absolute last resort. He has been needing to go all day but has held it silly dog.
Sure he feels a bit more relieved now. He is flaked out on the patio in the shade now.
Think we will eat out here again today. It will be too hot to eat in the kitchen by the time I have cooked enchiladas.2 -
Have you got him a little paddling pool he can dip in when he’s hot? You did say he liked the water.MFW 2022 #71 £4400/£44000
