When we used to take the caravan to Cornwall we always stayed at Carnon Downs between Truro and Falmouth. We ended up keeping the van on site there for about 15 years. and traveled down by car - I love it there as it’s central and we travelled all over from there. We want to go back when we get the motorhome…..there’s a bus stop right outside ( or there was last time we were there) it’s been taken over by the caravan and motorhome club since we were last there.

Haha re the old folks coach trip that's !!!!!! hilarious mate best thing I've read/ heard all day lol. You always seem to have so many memories to look back and laugh/ smile about.

You need to get that Sierra back out on the road 100%. It looks an absolute gem but get some Autoglym Rubber Trim stuff if they still do it on those bumpers - they'll look a lot brighter. I used to do these little rubber trims with it back in the day when I had cars that had that kind of stuff on it - came up really well.

@enthusiasticsaver had to be a !!!!!! repping the Range Rover marque haha fml. Tbf if you met me down the one of those lanes I'd have made you back up. I !!!!!! hate those hardly made single track lanes.

The Sierra is slowly gathering dust in the garage. The plastic trims are the least of the worries :D

It won't be a no spends day today. The other half is nipping to the shops after work to pick up a few bits that were missing from yesterdays home shopping delivery. Really think we might knock the home deliveries on the head now as we seem to be getting more missing items each time.

Breakfast, lunch and dinner will be from stores though. It was cereals for breakfast, the other half has taken his packed lunch to work, I am having a pasta salad for my lunch and dinner tonight is king prawn thai curry and noodles.

    Today's jobs include:
    • working from home
    • cleaning the bathrooms
    • walking the dog
It felt a cit cooler this morning when we took the dog for a walk round the pond. Doubt it will last for long though. It is forecast to be a bit hotter than it was yesterday.

I’m also getting fed up of missing items from online shopping.

It will be a low spends day today. We will have to pay for an hours parking when we get where we are going with the van after work tonight. A whole £1.20.

Breakfast, lunch and dinner will be from stores. It was crumpets for breakfast, the the other half has taken his packed lunch to work, I am having vegetable rice for my lunch and dinner tonight is homemade fish pie with vegetables.

    Today's jobs include:
    • working from home
    • vacuuming the house
    • dusting the house
    • making fish pie
    • loading up the van
    • walking the dog
It is a lot cooler start to the day this morning. There is a bit of drizzle in the air as well this morning to cool things down. Only a touch though. I expect when the sun has burnt through it will be warm again, although it isn't forecast to be nearly so hot today as it has been the rest of the week. A pleasant 23 degrees is forecast here today. Might even get a short walk in with the dog at lunchtime if that is the case and it isn't too hot. He will enjoy that. He has missed his walks this week.

My dog’s missed her lunchtime ball runs on the park this week. She might be able to get one today with it being cooler.

I have had to put some trousers on. My legs were getting cold in shorts with the breeze coming through the patio doors. Feels odd having legs covered up after so long in shorts :D

Doesn't look like I am back in the office next week now. We had an email earlier in the week to say they were making a final decision this week and I have not heard anything yet, so I'm working on the assumption that I am at home for another week at least :)

That’s good news for you then 😁 My workplace keep moving the goalposts, at the moment it’s end of September. We can’t all go back at the same time as we’ve got more staff than desks and they’re setting on thousands at the moment.
