It will be a low spends day today. Just need to chuck a couple of quid on the parking shortly to get us a few extra hours here this morning.

Breakfast and dinner will be from stores. Bacon sandwich for breakfast and roast pork with all the trimmings later on.

We had a great day yesterday and will certainly be back here again soon. It is a fantastic location.

Need to be careful with the dog though. The little sod bolted from us yesterday and grabbed hold of a duck in front of a family having a picnic on the grass.🙈🙈🙈

    Luckily the duck was fine!

Poor duck…..just shows every dog has the potential as is doggy nature.
It looks as if you’ve had a great weekend away. Enjoy the roast pork. I could just eat that but it’s the first day the house has felt cool so I have no intention of roasting anything today.

The dog incident reminds me of taking MIL’s very badly behaved Norfolk Terrier to Dovedale when the kids were little. Mr SA let him off the lead despite signs saying not to 🙄 He ran off and caused havoc in a field full of sheep, he was lucky the farmer didn’t shoot him. When we eventually got him back we thought he was going to die he was so exhausted he just laid there on the floor panting.

    It is Cromford.

Think it is our favourite place we have been so far. We will definitely be going back.

@RelievedSheff Someone I know lives close to that part of the world, it is nice up that way; you've given me an idea for a day out with my son walk him and my dog along that canal and coffee.
