That's good going @RelievedSheff.  Will be even better once you can get your interest bearing debts onto 0%.

Any plans for getting away again soon?  We're going next weekend and the weekend after - both cheap places; next weekend £12 a night and the following weekend £8.50 a night.  It's brilliant being able to get away so often - it's even better now that we've both retired.  Can't wait to get back to France as very rarely need to pay for overnight stays and even when we do it's never more than 10 Euros!

Not sure what we are doing the next couple of weekends yet. The van is all ready to go with full fuel and water tanks and empty toilet tanks and is stocked up with drink again. Just need to give it a wipe around inside at some point in the week. Will make a decision later in the week if we fancy heading out this weekend or not. The weather looks like it will be nice so we might make the most of it.

We have plenty of places locally that we can park up for free if the fancy takes us. We know plenty of places from having the boat that are tucked out of the way :)

You seem to have lots of lovely out of the way places to park up.  Unfortunately it's not that good where we live so we usually end up going to CCC rallies or sometimes we'll use the Canterbury P&R which only costs £4 a day and it's just like the type of aire you get in France and is only about an hour from us so very handy for a couple of days away.

I think we will enjoy touring in France when we get the chance to go across there. They seem to be so much better set up for the sort of touring we want to do than the UK is.

Absolutely and much cheaper too!  Germany is pretty good too although not as cheap as France for places to stay.

You're doing really well with the repayments mate also sorted your mortgage out and will be able to sort those interest rates out too soon all while living a life. 100% progress there, well done.

It will be a no spends day today.

Breakfast, lunch and dinner will be from stores. Breakfast was toast, the other half has taken his packed lunch to work, I am having vegetable rice for my lunch and dinner tonight is beef in black bean sauce with noodles and spring rolls.

    Today's jobs include:
    • working from home
    • cleaning the kitchen
    • vacuuming out the van
    • walking the dog x 2
We had a brief scare last night when we both had headache, were very tired and lethargic and generally feeling pretty groggy. We had initially worried that we had been struck down with the dreaded lurgy. We have both woke up feeling absolutely fine this morning. Think it must have been a combination of tiredness and the remnants of a hangover perhaps. Either way a good night's sleep has sorted it out.
