Looks nice bit like the peak district.2

The food was excellent in the pub last night. No complaints at all. Looking forward to breakfast shortly.
Should be a low spends day. Breakfast is paid for, dinner tonight is pasta bake and garlic bread and tonight's parking is free.
No doubt we will find a pub for a couple of beers though.2 -
We don't have a specific plan yet. The only place we know we will be going is Irvine to meet the other half's mum.beanielou said:Where in Scotland are you planning?
We might vaguely do the NC500 but with a few diversions along the way. We have 16 days to play with so no rush there or back.
Might fit in a bit of island hopping if the weather is kind.2 -
It's a bit more bleak than the Peak District 🤣🤣🤣alt80 said:Looks nice bit like the peak district.
The weather is mad up here. Mid July and got the heating on and all the fires roaring in the pub 🤔2 -
It was interesting driving over the tops this morning!

We are now sat in glorious sunshine enjoying a drink by the river in Boroughbridge 😆2 -
I'm loving your holiday photos thanks.2

Looks just as bleak as the Peak District to me especially the rain pics lol.NC500 trip fml one of my dream trips right there and seeing the Scottish islands. Genuinely think you’re living the dream … discounting the new build and if you parked the van and took an AM on tour ha. 😜0

If you're going to attempt the NC500 in a campervan expect to see a queue of vehicles in your rear view mirror. The A836/838 from Dounreay to Durness isn't much wider than a single track road with passing places and a dotted white line down the middle. We did the trip over 3 weeks, including a side-trip to Orkney. I can thoroughly recommend it!
(see A838 - Google Maps)
