Where you off to in the van mate? Not meant to be great weather for it but I assume you can have a drive out, dog walk and a few films in the van?Cable trailing everywhere doesn’t sound ideal so I get when you’re having one installed.2

This weekend we are heading to our friends house in North Yorkshire for the night. We can't stay in their cottage due to Covid restrictions, but we can take our own accomodation and stay on the grass in front of their housealt80 said:Where you off to in the van mate? We are planning (a soggy) walk to the pub early afternoon and then heading back to get showered and changed before we have a few beers and a take out curry in their garden room.
Not seen them for a long time, almost two years we reckon and then we will have seen them two weekends on the trot

Just had a call from the solicitors dealing with our remortgage. The completion date has been set for next Thursday. Added bonus I must have been a bit out with my calculations of how much was owing as we will be due £1107 back on completion.

Wow! Congratulations. That's a great bonus to put back into your savings!

Great news - restoring the savings sounds like a good plan as they've been completely wiped. Otherwise I might say pay it straight back off the mortgage.
Your weekend van plans sound great - bet you can't believe how its all fallen into place in a matter of weeks1 -

Nice bit of news for a Friday @RelievedSheff 👍
If there’s no bits you want for the van I’d pay it off the card mate don’t see the point in saving when you’ve got interest baring debt.1 -
All the van bits are bought now but we still need to get a shed, so I expect that is what some of the money will go towards. The rest will go into the savings to start that back off again.alt80 said:Nice bit of news for a Friday @RelievedSheff 👍

Card 3 will be paid off in a few months now so not throwing anymore money at that and Cards 4 and 5 will be put on 0% in the next couple of months as well as soon as the CCJ has gone from my credit file in July.2
