We had a lovely evening last night. The rain stopped long enough for us to get a bit of a walk in with the dog.

Today should be a no spends day.

We are having breakfast with our friends shortly before heading home. Dinner tonight is roast lamb with all the trimmings.

If this rain stops for long enough we will take the dog out somewhere for a walk.

Weather was awful round here too yesterday hope you had a decent day despite it.

Hope you got your drive today ha imagine it’s slow as !!!!!! and handles like a lorry so I assume you’ll be fighting each other for the bed or something in future lol. Glad you’re enjoying it and using it too but I still can’t get over the fact you could have bought a decent Vantage for that money - could have stayed in a hotel like a normal person if you wanted to go away.

I did manage to get a drive of it yesterday when the weather was a lot better. Let's just say that it isn't the best handling vehicle on the road but it is actually a lot better to drive than I had imagined. The controls are all very light. I'm glad I have had a go now and I will be happier to have a go again some time soon now. Just need to get used to the rear view mirror only showing a view of the fridge door :)

It should be a no spends day today.

Breakfast, lunch and dinner will be from stores. Breakfast was cereals, both if us have jerk lamb wraps for lunch and dinner tonight is lamb and mint casserole in a giant Yorkshire pudding made with the left overs from yesterday's roast dinner.

    Today's jobs include:
    • working from home
    • vacuuming the house
    • dusting the house
    • sorting out the sim card for the van heating (you can remotely control the heating and hot water via text message)
    • walking the dog x 2

Is this van more your OHs idea?

I think you’ll find the remote heating etc more useful than you first think - if you’re using the van in winter. My Range Rover has an app, can set climate from phone. Lot more use than you first think never had to use an ice scraper since I’ve had this one.

@RelievedSheff - rather than using the rear view mirror try using the door mirrors you'll have a much better view of the road behind.  Rear view mirrors aren't much use in a motorhome, particularly if they're not adjusted properly!  We don't even have a rear view mirror in our van as there is no window at the back, just a solid wall!

The rear view mirror is no use at all. There isn't a window in the back. It is literally just a view of the fridge :)
