It will be another no spends day today.

Breakfast, lunch and dinner will be from stores. Breakfast was granola, the other half has taken his packed lunch to work, I am having vegetable rice for my lunch and dinner tonight is slow cooked goat shanks with root veg mash and vegetables.

I somehow got my days mixed up and the goat is getting delivered today not yesterday. So that means that I have both the pig and the goat being delivered today. So it will be a day of sorting out meat and praying there is enough room in the freezers.

    Today's jobs include:
    • working from home
    • cleaning the bathrooms
    • cleaning the kitchen
    • sorting out the meat deliveries (and hoping they don't come at the same time as the valuer)
    • walking the dog x 2
I'm glad we have a detached house. The neighbours would think we had gone mad vacuuming the house at 6am :)

The house is now spick and span for the valuer who is coming between 8.30-9.30am. Glad he is coming early to get that out of the way.

Good luck with the valuation. Sounds like you’ve got a busy day.

Good luck with the valuation - the interest rate differential is such a carrot to dangle.

Thank you. Yes it is going to be another busy day for me.

It seems to have been a busy week so far for a four day working week!!

Looking forward to the weekend already.

I hope all goes well with your valuation or at least the house valuation. You are priceless.

The surveyor has just been. It was the same chap who looked at it in January. He was in the house for 5 minutes tops!

He is going to get the report back to the lenders this afternoon. So fingers crossed now.

The pig has arrived no problem but only half of the goat order has turned up. Sent an email and got a reply straight away. They are sending the rest of the order tomorrow which will be with us on Saturday and they are going to stick a couple of extras in there for us as a way of saying sorry. Can't really complain at that.

He was on the ball with the valuation. He sounded very positive and was making all of the right noises. He also said that prices have increased a lot in our area recently so fingers crossed we should be ok. Just waiting to hear back from the Halifax now. They should receive the report this afternoon.

Just think of the extra valuations you could get in if you started work earlier :)

    Meat people sound fair enough.

Ha, that’s what I’ve got staff for mate.

Fml rule number 1 don’t chat !!!!!! about the figures to the applicant. Tbf I don’t do the straightforward res unit jobs so poss something they do idk but I wouldn’t be too happy if one of my staff was doing that on site.

I must have the gift of the gab. Lulled him into talking general numbers. Nothing about our property though :)

Will give the Goat meat company the benefit of the doubt. Mistakes happen and I can see what has happened. The order was printed on two sheets of paper and only one sheets worth was in the box. It happens.
