I have amended the direct debit amount for credit card 3 to £250 this morning before I forget so as of next month the larger payment will start on this account.

Today will be a no spend day. Breakfast, lunch and dinner will be from stores. We had toast this morning for breakfast, the other half has taken his packed lunch to work, I will rustle up something for my lunch from the fridge and dinner tonight is going to be some lovely steak burgers with extra mature cheddar, air fried cajun wedges, beer battered onion rings, corn on the cob and homemade mustard coleslaw.

Good news on the dog front there doesn't appear to be anything wrong with his eye. He must have just been really sleepy yesterday morning but he is back to normal now so no need for the vets visit after all.

    Today's jobs are:
    • working from home
    • dusting the house
    • walking the dog x 2
A quiet day in store for today. Could do with the garden drying out enough that I can cut the grass and give it a tidy up before winter arrives properly but that doesn't look like it is going to happen anytime soon!

Good news that the dog was tired not ill.
I too need the garden to dry out so we can cut the grass.

The dog is a bit of a class clown and plays up to the audience so to speak so at times it can be really difficult to work out if he is genuinely ill or just acting the fool. He is a clever little sod.

I'm hoping that with a dry day forecast for today and tomorrow that I might be able to get out into the garden tomorrow and get the grass cut and have a tidy up. The front will be dry as that is south facing and in the sun all day but at this time of year our east facing back garden (well side garden really) isn't getting as much sun to dry it out and it has a wall around it as well which shades part of the garden most of the day at this time of year.

The Hyundai is in for an oil change today so not a no spends day today. Won't be an expensive job though as it is literally just the oil and filter to change.

Breakfast, lunch and dinner will be from stores. Breakfast was crumpets, the other half has taken his packed lunch to work, I will rustle something up from the fridge or freezer and tonight we are having stuffed chicken, air fried potato wedges and vegetables for dinner.

I have a busy day lined up for today. Today's jobs include:
    • working from home
    • cutting the grass on the front, weeding the front and tidying up the hedge (I managed to get the back garden sorted out yesterday)
    • 1 load of clothes washing and drying
    • 1 load of bedding to wash and dry
    • vacuuming the house
    • walking the dog x 2
And then with that little lot sorted out it will be time to kick back, relax and enjoy the weekend. We are not going to stay at the boat this weekend, we have decided we will have a weekend at home. We need to just nip across at some point though just to do a couple of odd jobs and strip the bedding off the boat. None of which should take more then an hour or so. Might do this tomorrow and then we can have the whole of Sunday to chill out properly.

I'm glad there's nothing wrong with your dog, they are a worry. It's such a faff at the vets right now, not being able to go in with them plus the expense.

Hope you have a lovely relaxing weekend after you've got your jobs done.
I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)

Blitzed the jobs today. Its been a really productive day. Just got back from the second dog walk of the day and debating whether it is too early to crack open a drink yet 😀

    Happy weekend everyone.

Will admit to having some morning drinks after early morning sea trips on the boat. One that springs to mind was a 3am start from Grimsby. We cracked open a beer at 6am when we got moored up in Wells next the Sea 🙃
