We are in Nottinghamshire which looks likely to have restrictions from tomorrow.
Rather unhelpfully our home delivery has been cancelled just now so we have had to nip to the shops to pick something up for dinner.
It does mean we won't be spending quite so much as we thought today though. Need to book another slot now for the stock up shop!4 -
Would be great to take wife, son and dog to the beach not looking likely soon.
I’d presumed you were in Sheffield by your name lol. Nottingham is Covid capital of England right now - nothing to do with two large unis of course... Most of the county outside Newark & Sherwood borough is not too high so you might get away with it if they just restrict the city and Newark (and you’re outside these areas). I’m almost definitely in lockdown as of tomorrow evening (Mapperley Park so going to be lumped in with the rest of NG3... no f**king hope haha). Don’t think it’s going to be a full lockdown like March unless you’ve heard different?

We were in Sheffield. Moved to Worksop last year so just over the Nottinghamshire border. We both still work in Sheffield though, well I say that I'm still at home for the foreseeable but the office is in Sheffield when I eventually go back 🤔
Just been to Newark and Nottingham on the boat. We jokingly said we must be super spreaders as every area we have been too has then had a high number of cases 😆4 -
Ah you might get lumped in with Sheffield as it’s still an ‘S’ postcode. Don’t know what cases are like there?
All this time I was jealous of your hol and you were just down the road (river) haha! The world is a small place.4 -

Back to work today, well working from home anyway.
£80 has been paid off credit card 2 today.
Other than that it will be a no spend day. Breakfast was crumpets from the freezer, lunch for me will be chicken fried rice using some left over chicken for yesterdays roast dinner, the other half has taken his packed lunch he has chicken and stuffing wraps, and dinner tonight is going to be chicken in cheese sauce bake with air fried chips and vegetables. All from the fridge or freezer. There will be some chicken left to make sandwiches and lunches tomorrow, it was a big bird!
Today's jobs are:- working from home
- two loads of washing (catching up with two weeks worth of washing!!)
- watering the house plants
- dusting the house
- sort out home shopping delivery after yesterday's was cancelled
- walking the dog x 2
Making it a steady jobs day today to ease myself back into the live work routine. I also need to take it steady with my back. I twisted it on Saturday while out on the boat and it is still quite painful. Think I much have pulled a muscle.3 -
Balances update:
Debt 1 = £0
Credit Card 1 = £300 (£150 repayment 0% interest)
Credit Card 2 = £525 (£80 repayment 29.9% interest)
Credit Card 3 = £3643 (£200 repayment 29.9% interest)
Credit Card 4 = £4570 (£100 repayment 0% interest)
Credit Card 5 = £7874 (£150 repayment 0% interest)
HP = £4438 (£251 repayment)
Furniture Loan = £672 (£16 repayment)
Savings account from pounds rounded to whole numbers = £24.89
Stocks and Shares ISA = £152.71
With debt 1 now paid off I am going to put the £50 extra towards Credit Card 3 repayment as of next month which will make that monthly repayment £250.
Only two more payments to make on Credit Card 1 and then this one will be balance cleared and the account closed. We really don't need so many credit cards between us. We will also close credit cards 2 and 3 as the account balances are cleared.
We hope that when more of the accounts are cleared and closed that we can put more money into the savings accounts and have money set aside for ongoing costs associated with the boat, cars and the house.3 -
Managed to sleep the whole night through without my back waking me up which is the first time since Saturday. I feel more refreshed and my back feels a lot better this morning. Another steady day though as I don't want to aggravate it again so soon.
It will be quite a spendy day today as the home shopping delivery that was cancelled on Sunday should be coming this evening between 8-9pm. Hopefully this time they can deliver it. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are from the fridge and freezer, the other half has taken his packed lunch to work and I will rustle myself some lunch up from what we have in stock. Might have some soup and bread today. Dinner tonight is Shepherd's pie with vegetables.
Today's jobs are:- Working from home. Although I do need to pop into the office this morning so that will be most of the morning wasted.
- Cleaning the kitchen
- Assuming the shopping arrives putting that away
- Walking the dog x 2

The current restrictions won't really affect us too badly for now but it would be nice to think that we could have family over at Christmas, although this presently looks like wishful thinking. Might be turkey for two this year.5 -
Glad you enjoyed your holiday. Guess where I live 😀 I actually live not too far from alt80 (NG4). My mum's side of the family are/were from Sheffield. Definitely a small world. I thought the restrictions would be worse although I won't be able to see my son and grandkids for a while, that's bad enough I suppose.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)4
