The money was transferred as soon as it hit our account.joedenise said:Great news. Get that money moved over to another account asap. A step closer to getting a motorhome. I would say it's definitely more versatile than a canal boat - it can go a lot more places!
The boat is a sea boat not a canal boat!!3 -
We hope to make some pretty decent additional payments to Card 3 as well. The sooner that one is gone the better.enthusiasticsaver said:Great the furniture loan is gone and you can now focus on that awful CC3 with the high rate. At least you are managing to throw a good chunk at it every month now though so hopefully should be gone within 6 months.
If we manage to be relatively frugal for the next couple of months we should be able to throw an additional £400 or so at the card per month.2 -
That would be good. I suppose if we still in partial lockdown holiday and entertainment spends can go towards it as well as fuel money etc. It will definitely be gone this year though then you can focus on the 2 large ones. Are you just letting the HP tick on as usual?RelievedSheff said:

Presumably you will save on mooring fees etc as well then. Did you take it over the Channel or the North Sea or did you mainly use on rivers?RelievedSheff said:

Yes we will just leave the HP to run it's course. That will be gone this time next year anyway.enthusiasticsaver said:

Once Card 3 is gone and the CCJ is off my file in July I will balance transfer Cards 4 and 5 and then aim to have that paid off in 18 months or so which will then just leave us with the loan on the motorhome to pay off.2 -
Good news it’s all going through and you feel better about it. You’ll have to change your profile picture to a motor home 😆I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)3

I am glad you are a bit more positive about the boat now. Fun times ahead for you.

We will both be glad when this week is over and we have been on Saturday to put the paperwork onboard, lock up and walk away for the last time.
