It will be a no spends day today.
Breakfast, lunch and dinner will be from stores. Breakfast was cereals, lunch will be jacket potato and dinner tonight is faggots with chips and vegetables.
Today's jobs include:- working from home
- cleaning the kitchen
- walking the dog
Expecting the second stage payment for the boat today.2 -
Second stage payment received. The remaining balance is going to be paid on Thursday when ownership will be transferred.
I have informed the waterways authority of the transfer of ownership from the 25th and they have already authorised a refund on our remaining licence of £105. I would have forgotten all about this but the other half mentioned it last night. So that is an extra little bonus.3 -
Full steam ahead now. Good to get the unexpected refund.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)4

Might put that towards some plants for the back garden now spring is on the horizon. Time to start thinking about putting some life into the garden now the hard Landscaping is done.3 -

Breakfast and dinner will be from stores. Breakfast was crumpets and dinner will be jerk pork chops. The other half is going to grab us something for lunch as he won't be able to do it on Thursday or Friday due to helping a close friend move house.

Sounds like a good day bet you’ll be glad to get out and KFC? For lunch?
Good news on refund you’ve reminded me I need to look up the sunflowers for my son soon. Wife quite good at gardening but decided not to delegate.2 -
Glad the boat sale is going smoothly - plants can be expensive so good use for a little unexpected bonus.
I like to allocate little cash amounts such as birthday gifts to something particular rather than lose them in general money. I found £60 in an envelope the other day which was a work raffle win from about 3 years ago that obviously missed the allocation stage. Because its unexpected it feels like more than £60 or is that just me ?4 -
We should be boat free by about this time tomorrow. It will be a strange day tomorrow I expect. As much as we are looking forward to starting a new adventure with the van we will miss the little boat terribly. Think we will let the dust settle a bit after selling it and then find out a few of the best pictures we have of it over the years to get professionally printed, mounted and framed and hung somewhere prominent in the house.
We have a few bits in the garden as reminders of the boat, one of the flags, a spare fender and a trashed set of props. Doesn't sound like a great selection of items to have in the garden but they do look good and when the area is planted up it will look even better.4 -
It’s been a big part of your life so it is understandable you’ll miss it and it will feel strange for a while. Great idea about the pictures and the bits in the garden, what lovely reminders.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)4

@RelievedSheff absolutely agree with @Sun_Addict I'm surprised you've sold it tbh but onto new adventures as you say and I actually think the boat items in the garden placed in the right way/ area and planted will look great.1
