We had some proper heavy duty ones that lift out in the drive at our old house. No point here though. They could just drive round ot if the neighbours cars are not in the drive 😀ladyholly said:Have you though of a post that locks upright at the road end of the drive but drops down when you want to move. I dont know if thats possible for you but if it is it micht be worth the expense.2 -
Just got back from a lovely walk along the canal. It is very mild again.

Just going to prepare dinner now. The other half is sat out on the patio and we have the patio doors flung open. Lovely weather. Spring is in the air.

Looks like a lovely walk. It’s mild here but dull. Lots of daffodils emerging too, Spring is coming hopefully.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)4

It is a nice walk. The towpath was pretty muddy in places and has obviously been well trodden this winter.Sun_Addict said:Looks like a lovely walk. It’s mild here but dull. Lots of daffodils emerging too, Spring is coming hopefully.
It's a shame the little cafe wasn't open. It would have been nice to have stopped for an ice cream on the way back down.
Plenty of signs of spring being on the way.2 -
We said the same about all the closed pubs we passed on our walk today. Would’ve been lovely to sit outside with a drink (and use the loo 🤣).I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)4

We didn't pass any pubs today but yesterday's walk finished at a pub and we did say a cold pint in the beer garden would have been nice 🍻Sun_Addict said:We said the same about all the closed pubs we passed on our walk today. Would’ve been lovely to sit outside with a drink (and use the loo 🤣).
Had to make do with a gin in the garden this afternoon instead.
