Chilli pickled eggs are now done. Should be ready in 6 weeks. These should be hotter, we have used birds eye chilli's this time and some dried chilli flakes as well.



It seems to have taken ages to do the eggs and the tattie scones today. Not sure why 🤔

Happy Valentines Day everyone. 

We don't buy into this corporate rubbish so it is just another Sunday for us 🤣🤣🤣

Breakfast and dinner will be from stores. Full English breakfast with Lincolnshire sausage and dry cured bacon from the local farm, Stornoway Black pudding, mushrooms and tomatoes from another local farm shop, wholegrain toast and homemade tattie scones. 

Then tonight we are having roast beef with a lovely joint of Dexter beef which was born raised and slaughtered at the farm less than a mile down the road. We will have this with Yorkshire pudding, roast potatoes, roast parsnip, roast beetroot, carrot, broccoli, cauliflower and green beans. 

We will take the dog out for a long walk again today. When we get back we have a crab apple jelly tart to make and we will get a board  game out.

Happy Valentines 😁 I knew you wouldn’t buy into such rubbish 😆I’m not keen either, I’ve never gone for all this slushy commercial stuff. Just another overpriced overhyped day.

Absolutely love the fact you know what you’re doing re debts/ motorhome 100%. If you !!!!!! off this rubbish about getting out of work and slowing down asap you’d go far mate. Seriously, I reckon you’d do well in business - plenty of work out there but you’ve probably got your mind made up. 😉

£200 paid off card 2 today which has taken that balance below the £3k mark. I am going to change the direct debit to £500 for this card starting from next month. 

Other than the above it will be a no spends day.

Breakfast, lunch and dinner will be from stores. Breakfast was a sausage and egg butty, the other half has taken his packed lunch to work, I am having a jacket potato for my lunch and dinner tonight is beef in black bean sauce made with the leftover roast beef from yesterdays sunday dinner.

Today's jobs include:

• working from home
• vacuuming the house
• dusting the house
• walking the dog x 2

The other half is back at work this week but it sounds like he will be on furlough again next week.

On a separate note this month is the first month under the salary sacrifice scheme and I have just checked what difference the new scheme has made. It has put an extra £60 per month into the pension pot which is not to be sniffed at.

I'm quite happy working for someone else and letting them deal with all the stress

Know a few employers using the furlough scheme in a similar manner- must be a bit frustrating for your OH.

Ha thought you’d say something like that so long as it works for you and no regrets.
