Mr SA loves the giant Yorkshire puds. You've got a good one there in your other half, not for him sitting around watching TV all day.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)2

I have asked him what he is going to do this summer now that the house is pretty much finished and he won't have a boat to tinker with. He said he will find something to do. I expect it will be the gardens getting the next make over.1 -
That sounds good. I seem to recall you were thinking of seeing if you could get another 0% a few months after that in July when the CCJ drops off? CC3 will obviously be about £2k lower by then if you are paying £400 a month from next month towards it. Any update on boat sale yet?RelievedSheff said:
Not got a completion date yet but it will be in early May once the early repayment charges on our current mortgage have lapsed.enthusiasticsaver said:Glad that second card gone and it will be good to really start attacking CC3. Or some trips in your motor home if you have it by then? If you are going to need to finance it though won't you need to wait until the remortgage and CCJ gone?RelievedSheff said:

Yes that's right. The 0% runs out on card 5 in March and the 0% on card 4 runs out in April I believe but need to check that one, so we will have a few months of paying interest on those two cards before I apply for a new 0% balance transfer card in July. Card 3 if we pay £400 per month plus any over payments we can make each month will be sub £1k so I might just pay that one off rather than transferring it, but we will see what the figures are closer the time.enthusiasticsaver said:

No further updates on the boat yet but I'm not expecting any. The guy needed 10 working days to move money around so that will be Tuesday we reckon. It seems to have been a long time since we accepted the offer. Time has been standing still
We will both be much happier when the money is in the bank!1 -
Yes we need to wait until at least May when the remortgage has gone through. Ideally we need to wait until mid July to apply for the motorhome finance when my CCJ drops off my credit file. But we were accepted for finance when we last looked into buying a van about 18 months ago so that might not be quite so critical as the remortgage.enthusiasticsaver said:

It is sods law that there is an ideal van for sale now but we can't do anything about it and it will be sold by the time we are ready for one!
I'm sure something else will crop up though when we are ready.1 -
Just heard from the guy buying the boat. He wants to set a completion date of the 25th February which is later than we had initially anticipated but it doesn't really make any odds to us provided it is completed before the 28th when the insurance expires.2

Great news sounds like it’s definitely happening then. 👍3
