I really must remember to wear gloves when peeling beetroot. Hands are now stained pink!

It will be a no spends day today.

Breakfast, lunch and dinner will be from stores. Breakfast was crumpets, dinner will be jacket potato with some veggie chilli and dinner tonight is steak pie with sweet potato wedges and mint and chilli mushy peas.

    Today's jobs include:
    • working from home
    • vacuuming the house
    • walking the dog
The other half is furloughed again this week so today he is painting the downstairs loo and has said he will go out for a long walk with the dog. Rather him than me as it is cold and snowy outside and the snow is set in for the day by the looks of the forecast.

Couldn't have picked a better week for him to be furloughed, I bet he'd have trouble getting to work in this snow.

The snow isn't too bad here. We are quite low down so we don't get loads of it, certainly nothing like we got at the old house which was 250m plus above sea level. This current house is only 40m above sea level so much lower down. The problems occur when we have to go into Sheffield for work. Sheffield grinds to a halt!

Sunshine here again today although it is cold.  Spent the morning chasing the grandchildren around the waterfront park to keep warm.  :D

Well the paint is on in the loo but neither of us is sure if we like the colour now. Hopefully it will dry a lot lighter than it has gone on!
