The standard spec includes solar panels, second domestic battery, awning and bike rack so they are already accounted for in the kerb weight.

We do plan to fit the refillable gas bottles if it hasn't already got them.

The van will become our second vehicle so will replace my Nissan so we both need to be able to drive it really. We need one rated at 3500kg which fortunately most of them seem to be.

Will check the forum out thanks.

That's a great spec then if the solar, 2nd battery, awning and bike rack are fitted as standard.  We may well be changing our van in the near future as DH will be 70 later this year so if he fails the medical to keep his C1 then we'll have no choice but there's no reason why he should as he's pretty fit and healthy.  Quite understand why you want to keep to the 3500kg.

It is a brilliant standard spec from 2017 onwards. The earlier vans had less kit as standard. 2017 is the earliest we are willing to buy due to upgrades in standard spec.

FML if you think that’s bad depreciation you don’t even want to know how badly a FFRR depreciates from new ha.

Tbf best for you to find the one you want rather than it not being right I’d imagine. Re the weight - I assume you need a lorry licence if over 3.5T? Remember my sister automatically got one for 7.5T but by the time I turned 17 you didn’t automatically get it can’t think when I’d drive a lorry anyway so not crying about it lol.

Same here. The other half can drive up to 7.5T but I can only drive up to 3.5T.

It will be a no spends day today.

Breakfast and dinner will be from stores. Full English breakfast again today and then later for dinner we have slow cooked goat with roast potatoes, roast parsnip, roast beetroot, Yorkshire pudding, broccoli, carrot, cauliflower and green beans.

The weather is supposed to be a bit drier today if not cold all day so we will take the dog out for a decent walk today. He was a bit bored yesterday cooped up in the house all day. Trying to keep him occupied was a nightmare!

Absolutely love goat but it's so difficult to get hold of where I live.  Our local butcher doesn't stock it and said he could try to get hold of one but we'd have to buy the whole goat and we just haven't got the freezer space for that!  Do you buy yours locally or online?

It has been a bitterly cold walk today. The wind really was raw.

We are back home warming up now. Just going to prepare dinner and put the goat in the slow cooker then it is time for a beer I think.

It’s very cold today. At least the dog walk is done and you can relax now. Enjoy your beer 🍻
