It won't be a no spends day today but should be a low spends day.
Breakfast and dinner will be from stores. It was crumpets for breakfast and mixed seafood thai curry for dinner, but the other half is going to nip out and get us something for lunch, which probably means it will be KFC.
Today's jobs include:- working from home
- vacuuming the house
- walking the dog at lunchtime
It is the other half's last day of furlough for this stint. Today he is putting up the new light fitting in the downstairs loo. He says he is also going to take the dog out for a good long walk today as well. He is also going to bath the dog and will probably nip to the farm shop to get the fruit and veg and save us a job tomorrow. Might see if I can convince him to run the vacuum cleaner round as well and save me a job5 -
I was right it was KFC
He decided to go and check the boat this morning as well and make sure that the frost heaters were working as they should. Can do without any frozen pipes or pumps on it right now!
He is now back to start his list of jobs for this afternoon. I have run the vacuum cleaner round to save him one job.5 -

It won't be a no spends day today but it will be low spends. We didn't get to the farm shop yesterday so we will need to go today to get this weeks fruit and vegetables.
Breakfast will be from stores today. Full English breakfast as its the weekend. We are having a take away curry tonight for dinner.
Other than that we don't have much planned. There will be the usual long dog walk. I need to make some more chilli pickled eggs at some point as well. The last batch have gone. Need to make a new batch of tattie scones as well to stick in the freezer.
I suspect we will end up on the sofa watching films with a few beers again later on.3 -

He wants to set a completion date of the 25th February which is later than we had initially anticipated but it doesn't really make any odds to us provided it is completed before the 28th when the insurance expires.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free Wannabe, Budgeting and Banking and Savings and Investment boards. The CCJ may well be gone by the time we apply for the motorhome finance as we have to find the right van first and we don't know how long that will take.
It all depends on how quickly we find a van as to what order we do things in.3 -
Just got back from a long, cold walk with the dog. We took advantage of the ground being frozen solid and did a walk across the fields that we have not done for a while because it has been too sloppy under foot.
Just making a start on the chilli pickled eggs and tattie scones now. Might have to crack open a beer while I do these.6 -
Yes the ground is frozen solid. Even the mud on our park has frozen.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)3
