https://personal.rbs.co.uk/personal/current_accounts.html£100 switch offerEarn montly Rewards. For £2 a month you'll get:
£4 a month back in Rewards for 2 or more Direct Debits (at least £2 each)
£1 a month back in Rewards with 1 mobile app log in
1% back in Rewards when you spend at our partner retailers: Caffe Nero, Europcar and more
To apply, you need to be 18+ and a UK resident. To hold a Reward account, you'll need to pay £1,250 into your eligible account every month
Is there a way of avoiding the £2 fee by having a permanent balance of £xK for a full month
or moving more than £1250 through each month.
I couldn't see anything but was wondering if there was something i missed.0 -
You can apply for the fee-free Select account and you'll still be eligible for the incentive. Otherwise, the fee is always charged on the Reward account and there is no way to avoid that. If you meet the requirements for the monthly reward however then this effectively pays for the fee and a bit extra on top.dggar said:

If you can provide those pesky DDs for two RBS Reward accounts, going for the Reward might be worth your while. Depositing a total of £1,500 a month into one or both of them, as well as logging in once a month nets £3 per account each month, i.e £72 a year.PRAISETHESUN said:

As a Reward account holder, you might also get the RBS Reward credit card at no annual charge (normally £24). It's a nice card with 1% cashback at supermarkets. They are, however, very selective who they give this card to.1 -
"Good news, your application has been submitted. We need just a little more information before we can activate your account."As mentioned previously, no email, no text and the confirmation page doesn't really match the 3 outcomes described on their webpage. I'd happily forgotten NWB/RBS/Ulster's "quirky" approach to things, but the £100 will help with that.1

Personally I think it's worth waiting and holding out for more cashback as they were offering £175 for this in February. I'm not sure we'll see those levels any time soon, but I reckon it will creep up next tme round to £125 or even £150 depending on how many more switching incentives are available and how their contact centres are coping with whatever Covid is throwing at them.1

I'd rather take £100 now than take the gamble that in 12 months time they'll do another offer for £50 more.1

Or for £50 less 🤣🤣🤣crumpet_man said:I'd rather take £100 now than take the gamble that in 12 months time they'll do another offer for £50 more.2 -
You will probably get the email/text tomorrow.miller said:"Good news, your application has been submitted. We need just a little more information before we can activate your account."As mentioned previously, no email, no text and the confirmation page doesn't really match the 3 outcomes described on their webpage. I guess it all depends on how much you value rewards versus time/hassle. For me, £100 is not worth it, and even if it drops to £50 later, it's still not worth it now. Yes it's a bet, and my intuition is that the reward will rise.0
