Interesting, I used a Nationwide card reader and didn't have to register it.billn said:Can anyone tell me if the number to register the card reader should be 7 or 8 digits, I have tried my Nationwide reader and only get 7 digits as in 1234 567 and have read from an eariler thread that is should be 8 digits 12345678? I don't want to try too many times to avoid the card being locked.1 -
Why do these things always happen, I have just tried again after mummyof5 and ischris85 replied and the card reader came up with an 8 digit namber that worked straight away
oh well these things are sent to try us. Thank you for your replies. If at first you don't succeed, sky diving is not for you!2 -
Mrs billn has just enabled the same Nationwide card reader with RBS and it came up with a 7 digit number and that was accepted, the wonders of technology

I'm a bit behind all of you on applying to make the most of this switch offer sow would be glad of some experienced insight.
I recently opened an RBS Reward account to take advantage of the RBS Invest cashback offer a couple of months ago. Please can someone confirm that I would be eligible to open a new RBS account and switch to that for the cashback? Any pitfalls to be ware of? And simultaneously do the same with Ulster Bank (though not had an account with them before so maybe it will be slower?).0 -
You can switch into an existing RBS Reward but you can also apply for a second one and switch into that one, or into your existing one. Ulster can be done in parallel, or later.1

Great! Switching into an existing one seems easiest option given you can't have two Reward accounts anyway. Getting Digidocs to work properly last time was a headache so hoping not to have to do that again with RBS or Ulster...colsten said:You can switch into an existing RBS Reward but you can also apply for a second one and switch into that one, or into your existing one. The trap for the digidocs is that they use the same service, so if e.g. you already have NatWest and apply for RBS, you will find you need to log into the Natwest one to upload the docs again for RBSgranta said:Great! If they want them, you will get and email or text with a digidocs link. However if you try to register with digidocs using that link it may fail. Reason for fail is not obvious, but in my case it was becuase I had already got a NatWest account. Logged in to that and there was my RBS digidoc load! That they already had my id for NatWst didn't matter. I reloaded the same ID loaded for NatWest and RBS rehjected it :- Reloaded an new photo, and they were happy. As an aside, Ulster, another sister bank, didn't ask for me for digidocs ID.granta said:
