I’ve got the card, the PIN arrived today. I can’t do anything with my account as it’s got no money in it. I can’t put any money in it because after eight days I still don’t know my account number. Only way I can fund my account is through the switch account next week.

How does one obtain ones account number. I can’t login.
Do RBS debit cards not have the account number on them?

I just switched to Natwest a couple months ago and hate many aspects of it including the fact that they don't put your account number on your card... want to switch to get cash and leave Natwests crap customer service, but that is annoying if RBS do the same with the "account number-less" cards....

    Yes, they do the same.

Didn't you get a welcome email from RBS which contained the customer number?

No, they never have. None of the Natwest Group banks print the account number on their cards. Real nuisance.

BUT you can see the account number printed on the card you can see in the app.

Thanks. I did not know that they are the same but I can see their websites are actually identical.

Did not expect the Royal Bank of Scotland to be owned by a multinational corporation....

    Where have you been?

RBS collapsed in 2008 because of the multi-national ambitions of its megalomaniac boss Fred Goodwin, aka Fred The Shred, whose knighthood was annulled by the Queen on 1 February 2012. The bank was rescued by the State.

Until earlier this year, the  group name remained RBS Group. In an effort to shake off the awful legacy, they are now known as the Natwest Group. The constituent subsidiaries remain the same for now.

Much more on this on Google if you want.

I didn't know that. I don't really follow (or understand) finance news.
I had thought that RBS was like the Bank of England.
Thanks for the info, good to know.

Had a call from them this morning asking if everything was OK and telling me all about mobile banking, I've never had that before.

It's far more like the FCA.
