T&Cs says some time in 1/21 I think. Have you paid in the £1500 yet?
Yes, I have paid in £1500.
Lloyds also had similar conditions but they paid much quicker (within a week).
The Lloyds T&Cs stated within 10 working days. The RBS ones state by end of January. Hardly similar.

Oops, my bad. Thanks for clarifying mate.
  • Based on past experience with NatWest/RBS, they will wait as late as possible to pay the incentive. It's to encourage you to actually use the account rather than just taking the money and running...

Thanks mate. I was hoping to use the incentive for Christmas, but guess I will have to wait!

I applied for this account on 3 October.  The estimated date for switching was 13 October.
I received the Digidocs email the next day and sent my documents.
Then on the 16th October I received a letter asking for physical documents, a bill and a tax document (P60, P45 etc), which I sent the next day.
These were returned on 27 October.
Then nothing. 27 days since my application and nothing.  I did try and ring them one evening, but they only want to speak to new customers M-F 9-5.
    So far I'm unimpressed.

My RBS application took longer than that. So long, that it went over the expiration time of the application :/
They then asked me if I still wanted to go ahead with it. I said Yes. This resulted in a second hard credit check. At least my account is set up and running fine now. Glad I'm only using it for the free money :)

    This is not investment advice.
Your money may go "down and up and down and up and down and up and down ... down and up and down and up and down and up and down ... I got all tricked up and came up to this thing, lookin' so fire hot, a twenty out of ten..."

Existing account holders qualify  :D (except if you already had an RBS, Natwest or Ulster switch bonus between  October 2017 and 1st September 2020)

Where is this written? I cannot seem to find any text on the RBS site saying that, but I'm sure I did when I looked about a month ago.

I had an RBS switch offer in March 2019 so keen to know if this criteria has been removed!

Sorry for bumping this thread, but I have a question about the incentive where it asks that you pay in £1500 before December 30.

Is it fine if I've been putting in small amounts at a time (a few hundred pounds) and then taking it out again (back and forth between my other account)? Or do I need to transfer £1500 in one transaction and leave that in the account until December 30?
