The Draft Private Parking Code of Practice (PAS 232) now out for Consultation

We don't have much time for actual comments, but complaints can be continued after midday.
If anyone still has time, might I suggest a few brief comments, in your own words of course, where relevant that: -
The purpose (scope) of the PAS is to regulate the currently unregulated parking industry, not add further restrictions on already regulated motorists.
PPCs have had 5 years to mirror the UK Government's requirements for council and LA CEOs to use only government approved equipment which does not permit the use of ANPR
PPCs have had 8 years to understand the requirements of the PoFA. If they all issued PoFA compliant NTKs and NtHs then there would be no need to request or obtain driver's details.
NTKs must not be issued where a keeper cannot be held liable. Requests for driver details are permitted of course, but the keeper's rights must be clearly defined.
PPCs have had 10 years to understand the requirements on the EA 2010 and come up with a lawful method of managing disabled parking bays instead of their currently unlawful method of making the display of a Blue Badge mandatory.
PPCs have had over 30 years to understand that they must comply with planning and advertising consent regulations for permanent equipment and signs.
The parking industry fooled the government into thinking keeper liability would reduce court case, but the opposite has happened.
It is inconceivable to think a driver is many more times likely to park incorrectly in a private car park than in a council run one.

I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I am sure the BSI will remove duplicate comments because there is no point them having duplicate comments because they will want to wade through individual comments not repeated comments , it doesnt actually achieve anything6
