Hello flylady friends ,
Can I join you please. Seriously lacking in motivation lately so hoping this will help..
I have a huge list of things I need to do today but will try and do some stuff on the flylady list too.
Going to have a cuppa and then set a timer and get started.
Wish me luck ... I'm going to need it

Fayolle - I know exactly which notebook to use. I think we may be soul sisters even if we are not soul twins xx
Valli - oh that's a good idea - a Swinging 60s Club (SSC). And not the other sort of 'swinging' either (just in case anyone gets the wrong idea!)
Welcome aboard boultdj xx
i put my fleece on over my nightie and pegged out the washing. What a glorious morning. I adore autumn. I've also fed the birds and put out some recycling - after I'd got dressed. GF was in the shower for soooooo long that I was starting to worry. Is it a girl thing? What can anyone be doing in the shower for that amount of time? Can you see me shaking my head? Total bemusement here.

For Helen
We’ve not known each other long
But to me it seems quite clear
That when we are together
I move up another gear.
Eeyore leaves the building
Pooh and Piglet run;
‘cause Tigger’s here with Helen
And they’re having lots of fun.
The mask can be removed
And placed high on a shelf
‘cause when I’m here with you
I’m free to be myself.
You don’t think I’m crazy.
You don’t put me in my place.
Do you know how rare it is
For me to show my face?
It’s really rather sad
That the world’s so full of dicks
And I have to hide myself and
The world at number six.
But you are very special
And hold the magic key
That opens up the secret place
Where I buried me
I wrote this for my new office buddy. I feel the urge to share. It's not flying - but it's a Bank Holiday so I'm taking liberties.
It's taken 60 years - but I'm getting there.

Welcome Mumof31.2 and boultdj. I expect your names will get shortened if you stay around lol.
DW emptied. Chipped mug flung; all DS's
spare room bedding on line; bunnies in run. Clearing and cleaning the room goes on; chest of drawers has been vacuumed (well the drawers have) and the glue gun has been pressed into use. Next job is a hot, soapy water wash down of same. I also have an ebay sale to post.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

Quite happy to have the name shortened Boult is what I normally come out with, but B is good enough for me, hoovering was done whilst WM was on, it's out on the line now.
I just need to pick some of my French beans for tonight's tea, don't think I'm going to get many more off them this year.

P & S have been - bringing cake and gifts.
H has been - bringing cake and flowers. First time I've seen H since before lock down . She came in for ten minutes and left two hours later. The world has been put to rights. I can't decide if the house looks better or I just don't care what people think any more: a bit of both probably. It definitely helps that I am not sat praying that any unexpected visitor will not ask to use the loo. Now the bathroom is halfway decent they are welcome to use it.
Plastic bottles rinsed and recycled.

Ah Round age is but a number. And you got me thinking as I munched my cheese and beans toastie, isnt it funny how we are all different ages on here, all different backgrounds, and yet we are good friends? Would we have become friends if we had all met up somewhere in real life I wonder?
Anyhow, the reason I am eating lunch so late is that I am thoroughly engrossed in wardrobe flinging. Every single item of clothing that I own has been taken out of the wardrobe and drawers and critically assessed. Summer stuff has been piled on DSs bed for now, 22 items listed on ebay and two bags for clothing bank. Quite a few of my winter jumpers and cardigans are looking a bit tired. I dont expect to make much on ebay (but I have lost nothing but a bit of my time if I dont) but what I do make will go towards some carefully chosen new bits.
Footwear next. Might need more food and a cuppa first. DH has gone to work, no idea where DS is.
Happy Bank Holiday all xx10 -
Well said, YL. I think you have it in a nutshell.
Round - great poem. I am honoured to be your soul sister ❤️ I am nearer to the SSC than I like to calculate, but age is definitely but a number.Towels out on the line. Bathrooms given a s&s. DD picked up and chatted with (rare treat). Allotment digging done and a few cabbages planted for spring under DH’s latest netting construction. Steptoe’s yard anyone??
Plum jam making next.Welcome newbies!10
