A loss at PoPLA is of no consequence.  Many of the adjudicators they employ  know less about parking law that some of the grey beards on here.
    Made me chuckle!

The ticket you received will show the name of the entity and company number
The same entity must be displayed on the sign
The same entity must be on the landowner contract

Perhaps we should steer @Coupon-mad away from his inference! 😄
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

No it’s because I paid by cash so didn’t have proof that I paid. Also that’s it now I can’t appeal anymore. Wish I had of just paid it now, would of saved money. Thanks anyway
You do know that people who lose at POPLA don't actually PAY?!!  You appear to think that's it. What on earth gave you that idea?

Yawn...search the forum for POPLA lost and do what everyone else does.  You do not need proof that you paid.

The company name and number is different on the ticket to the sign.
The NTK & Sign on site shows:
    Britannia Parking Group LTD
    Registered in England No: 08182990
    The LOA shows:
    Britannia Parking Services Limited
    Company Number: 8187238

    Does this help?

    Thanks again.

  • On the previous replies I have attached the LOA 😁

As suspected.   Back in December last year, I was helping someone with a very similar case in Reading County Country.  THE ERRORS, just as you describe were pointed out to BWLegal who decided in their untrained wisdom to continue.  The Judge said to the legal rent by the hour, this is not going well for you IS IT, no Sir the rep said , case dismissed and £95 costs was awarded.

You can read about the case here ...

On the same day, unbeknown to me a Judge in Oxford ruled the same
https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/comment/76747116#Comment_76747116"there are 3 people in this marriage"

Seriously, we have a legal here who is clueless and fails to understand what an entity is

Go forth and get them spanked for fakery which includes fake amounts

Bottom line here is, would I employ BWLegal to chase money and take people to court ?  HELL NO, not with their reputation, I WANT TO WIN

Where does the landowner authority state what POPLA said it states, can we see that page?
The operator has provided a copy of the landowner contract. It states:
The customer (the landowner) accepts that the agreement with Britannia Parking Services Limited and its parent company Britannia Parking Group Limited in respect of the car park will be carried out in accordance with the requirements of the British parking Associations AOS Code (Approved Operator Scheme), and hereby authorised the supplier (Britannia Parking Services Limited) and its parent company at their discretion to take legal action to recover parking charges where they remain unpaid.
AFAIK, a Ltd company cannot be a parent company of another Ltd company.
