Are people finding that the online application system is declining more often then you'd expect with eminently "good" applicants (as I found!)?
In my case, I then went to the branch, where the application was approved, presumably with exactly the same data input.
Doing so may help some people.
In branch, there are no appointments and they sort you out with the debit card and app set-up there and then.0 -

I have been trying to use the switch page and am stuck with the Trusted device/MS Azure login problem for the T's&C's. I've tried what has been suggested but no dice. Guess a trip to them will have to do.
For the Debit Card payments I use Revolut as you can top it up via Debit Card and instantly send it back/to another Account. I find this handy for the £500 on Halifax and the 10 transactions on Metro Bank.Just make sure that counts as a purchase transaction. From the t&c'sYou’ll need to make a minimum of 10 debit card purchases (eg purchases in shops, online or mail order) within the first two months of opening your account. Cash withdrawals or other transactions are not included. As for the other thing, i was getting extremely frustrated with the switch form, eventually noting from another members suggestion about moving the switch date by 1 day from default, which allowed the form to submit without the required open and read of the doc.

I just had a another go at the swap and somehow managed it this time. Thanks for the help.0 -

I would revolut or Monzo normally for something like this but they seem to explicitly exclude it. 10 £1 Amazon vouchers it is 😛

I'm still waiting on my PIN so can't test this yet.0

You only need the PIN for in-store purchases, or rather, you need to use the PIN at an ATM to unlock contactless. If you are spending online then no PIN required.
Ten £1 amazon top ups for me too, most straight forward way for me to do the ten debit card payments.0 -

you can call and activate card without the PIN, but it is how i read the letter too. activate the card and you can use online.

I've had the same issue, card has been declined for all my online transactions attempted. Will wait for the PIN and try again.
