wmb194 - I am having the same problem. You say was - have you found a way round this?I was also having trouble opening the switching terms PDF - the system wanted me to login to some kind of Microsoft Azure server with Metro Bank PLC credentials. Metro Bank's IT systems have never impressed me and I just see these problems as part of what to expect from it.
Does not need to be opened, just click it, is switch completion date given that determines whether switching form submitsI clicked agreement link once had same problem as everyone else error opening agreement formSwitching form would not submit, I changed switch completion date and switching form completed fine, I did not have to involve myself with trusted devices in order for form to submit, from memory I used FirefoxSomeone messaged me could not get switching form to submit, he also found submitted fine after changing switching date.0 -
Yes, that worked. Thanks so much.bristolleedsfan said:Over62 said:

Does anyone have some trick for the 10 debit card transactions requirement? I have made 1 transaction in the past month with my main account! (Cash withdrawals do not count - check terms and conditions).0
-
The best 'trick' is to actually buy something. Buy 10 bananas or something, pay for them individually at the self-checkout. You also have two months to make the 10 transactions.0

well, it must have been my interesting collection of unused debit cards showing up in the background, or something similarIanManc said:
I hesitate to ask, but what parts of you did you include as well as your face, causing your picture to be rejected? 😲movingon said:And...make sure your photo id is clear and personal id only contains your face. I was not accepted, and was advised that this is probably the likely reason the application was rejected, given I have not had problems previously.

I believe it was closed because, rather than being full of referrers, it was full of people asking for referral codes, which isn't the intent of that forum.colsten said:MSE, why has the Metro refer-a-friend thread been closed?
Forumites have, AFAICS, complied fully with the MSE referral rules, and not posted any referral codes outside the official Referrers' forum.
What is the problem, do you not want your forumites to post such offers? Do you not want forumites to be able to to discuss switching offers from banks? If so, please update your rules so we all know where we stand. Thanks.
Now seems a few people have started so there are plenty of links to go around, but might have been closed again by over-zealous admin not realising the situation had changed?0 -

just make sure before using your debit card that you actually activate it as per the letter the card comes with, which i completely misread.
i have done a few low cost amazon purchases and they have all used my "backup" payment method because my MB account couldn't be authorized.

Sorry for the confusion with the other thread.
I have been trying to use the switch page and am stuck with the Trusted device/MS Azure login problem for the T's&C's. I've tried what has been suggested but no dice. Guess a trip to them will have to do.
For the Debit Card payments I use Revolut as you can top it up via Debit Card and instantly send it back/to another Account. I find this handy for the £500 on Halifax and the 10 transactions on Metro Bank.0 -
Are people finding that the online application system is declining more often then you'd expect with eminently "good" applicants (as I found!)?
In my case, I then went to the branch, where the application was approved, presumably with exactly the same data input.
Doing so may help some people.
In branch, there are no appointments and they sort you out with the debit card and app set-up there and then.0
