Morning, today is another day, hopefully a more productive one than yesterday.
Yesterday I had coffee with a friend, went food shopping, 1 load of washing, took DD2 to get new bag for her new computer, and a keyboard as her new second screen arrived. Cooked dinner.
Must do better today!
Well done frugal folks and those managing to stick to their budgets! Definitely not the case here, we we're doing so well until this month and what with a new computer and screen as DD2 going back to uni but their not allowed to use uni computers, DD1 teeth (2 crowns) that haven't been refunded by insurance yet and a HUGE tax adjustment to be paid over the next 4 months. I feel out of control but I think it is aggravated by the fact that my banking/finance sheets have not been undated since we mid July due to visitors and holidays. DD2 needs to get on with a presentation today so I might keep her company and sit down and do some catch up.
Breakfast next and see you all later.8 -
Morning all,
Damp and grey here (not me 🤣), but no rain at least. Today will be mainly swimming camp, tidying round and generally enjoying being at home. Big hugs to all xx

Morning all. Think we saw the worst of the weather yesterday as it's rather bright here this morning. Going to chance washing the sheets today and putting them on the line. Slowly catching up with the list so far with some help from DH. He's been busy and built some new flower boxes out of more of our old decking so guess we'll be trying to find some things to fill those with that will stand a chance of surviving through the winter.
Planning on getting some more shredding done today or even giving it to DH for a bonfire - paperwork is never ending in this house, I keep uncovering more and more.

need to chase a few people but don’t feel like doing anything. Our plan for our cancelled holiday week was to mix trips out with decorating and now the week is filling up with officials visiting to no avail. I’m just exhausted.7 -

I've just finished sewing 12 masks for DD2 so she now has 21 in total so hopefully that will make things a bit easier at uni when she goes back next week. Next need to make some for DD1, not such a rush as she does half her time working in hospital (where they provide masks) then the other half studying alone (but she likes to do it at the library so needs masks for that) She's working in hospital for the next 3 weeks.
WM x 2 so once dry will need to iron and put away.
I know what I'm cooking for dinner so that's a start, will prepare it later on.
DD2 progressing slowly with her presentation so am not so stressed about that now.
Very windy here with clouds but a lovely temperature.
Time for a cup of tea, then no more excuses I will start the finance sheets!

wow..as per usual the last week off is flying by.
Monday I got the bathroom and kitchen cleaned and caught up with ironing.
Tuesday (yesterday) was a whirlwind of activity with lunch out (thanks Rishi) and i was persuaded into work afterwards. Well - we have an amazing library space (finally) beautifully painted. Most of the building had been decorated and my name has been mud (due to frequent use of sticky fixers to decorate classroom doors and put up alphabet friezes)- it was thought someone else had been responsible but no...
We also have another fancy room though I'm not au fait with what it will be used for eventually - atm it won't be used for groups as chn are to stay in one classroom. Washed out pencil pots for children to have their own pots. Brought scissors home; they've now been washed and I have caught up with Line of Duty.
DS due to move out this weekend; just been onto council to claim single person's discount from the 1st. have done 3 sets of calculations to predict new payment. They vary by £24. I like the last one best.
Dancemum - hope the birthday went well.
I'm kind of itching for DS to go then I can use the bookshelves for my books and move other stuff into storage. I am also planning on clearing the top of my wardrobe.
A heads up. My friend has stopped buying gift bags - she buys fancy 'bags for life' instead. (Then they can be reused post-birthday/occasion) Well anyone else thinking this is a good idea Matalan have some fab ones reduced, inc. a Harry Potter one for 50p.

Thank you Honey Bear7 -
12 masks finished and now in the WM (with a load)
2 loads ironed and put away
Finance/banking sheets up to date, actually not as bad as I feared.
Off now to prepare dinner before I sit down for my favourite TV show of the moment
See you tomorrow
