4 loads of washing now done, dried, ironed and put away, another 2 still in the cycle.
12 masks cut out, stiched together and pleats sewn in, will put elastic and finish them tomorrow.
Dinner is cooked, just need to do rice or pasta later.
Cup of tea made and now being enjoyed

Afternoon all.
Happy 18th Birthday to danceson [sorry, you'll have to imagine the cake!] - hope the day is going well for everyone.
Before I went out, with Rosie of course, to meet DDiL2 for the handover of DGS3+4, I managed to
- make a coffee sponge for DS2 and a fruit loaf for DDiL2, as well as smaller versions of each (without the butter icing) for us
- hoover the study bedroom floor
- make up the boys' beds
- move the box of Lego from DH's room into the LR
- send an urgent email
- pack up my lunch and plate up DH's
- call at the pharmacy for my meds which DH failed to bring home on Saturday when he collected his own.
We met up at the NT woods halfway between us, ate our picnic lunches in warm sunshine, had a walk through the woods, did some den building, ate ice cream, and got home at about 3.00. The boys are now happily playing with the zoo animals and games on DH's iPad!
I was going to cook roast chicken with all the trimmings for tea but have decided to leave that for tomorrow and have sausage and wedges tonight instead - it's likely to be very wet and windy tomorrow.9 -
The only flying I've done has been at work, largely aimed at reducing the number of people who need to get anywhere near me other than in an emergency and removing pointless clutter and unnecessary furniture that got dumped in there in the first place. Being able to decide and sort things according to function, rather than trip over the detritus of multiple staff postings, is much better. And I had the chance to actually get some work done this afternoon.
I do think that in some ways, this term is going to be gentler for some, especially the younger ones - normally, Year 7s are just flung into a massive site, have to find their way around, are tiny compared to the giants of Y10 and 11 stampeding around and they get limited sympathy. This time they're going into the equivalent of a Nuture Group, staying in one classroom for most lessons like they did at primary, they're safely with kids their own age and size at breaks and they're even being escorted to the bus stops without the older kids to worry about, as they finish later. The sort of thing I'd like to happen to kids normally - and apparently, if they feel it works well emotionally for the kids, they'll adopt it permanently.
But, apart from the normal things that you always have to leave until the last minute because nobody can give you the information beforehand, I think I'm ready as I'll ever be.I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.Yup you are officially Rock n Roll12 -
Another walk done with DH and ironing is up to date.Spend less now, work less later.11

round.. I have 96 loo rolls... haha I bought a pack of 90 last week, 5L bottles of disinfectant (2), hand sanitiser, washing up liquid and hand wash.. I am a hoarder too.
I have spent 5 hours cleaning the kitchen.. the floor has been mopped for the first time in living memory and I found maggots under the cooker in the cat biscuit residue... so now I need all the appliances out and under those scrubbed.. OH is off on Wednesday so he can get that done and mince the grass and clean out the fish.
I've moved some stuff about in the front room and had the girls remove the gibble in there so it is partially vacuumed.. they did it so it is far from acceptable.

WM x4 mostly on the line until I ran out of room.
Tins neatened in the cupboard

Reporting for off piste duties to stop the Skint Pit becoming...too pit-like.
Thank you to Natty and Valli for keeping me flag flying, even if I am watching from afar.
Loaded boot last night to brave a dump run this morning and I was struggling to find things I need to part with but are too rough to be rehomed.
I spent 2 hours in the hallway decluttering the hot spot behind the front door, then I pulled out airing cupboard, put on a new water heater insulation jacket on the tank, and took the opportunity to reorganize thrathe cupboard and found a few dump worthy bits and a black sack for charity shop.Dug around in garage, found better homes for things, but nothing really dump or donation worthy, but gained a bit more footprint on the ground.
Degibbled all the downstairs floor and danced around with my Shark. Rehomed some bits from bedroom floors, made DD4 bed and Shark got dragged upstairs by DS1, but too tired to dance. Dump run completed, shower completed, humanity slowly being rebooted.
I will aim to look at listy later and make Tuesday the new Monday.
Hugs sticks and spoons 😁
The cold never bothered me anyway9 -
Frenzied day at work.
Dinner cooked, cleaned the microwave after a dish of plums made a bid for freedom, but at least I ticked a job off today’s list. WULTD, HHI, and today's towel wash actually got dry. Clean washing sorted and returned to rightful owners.Making a list for tomorrow. It is long...7 -
Non stop all day again, just flopped into bed. I've made a list too Fayolle and it's growing by the second. Sleep well ladies see you tomorrow xx8

Golly you've all been busy. I woke up with a fit of the miseries, no idea why as I'd planned to go for a run before Mr N left to go to the gym. Got engrossed in a book rather than face the world. Pathetic.
2 video thingies: 1 a nice chat with friend/admin from uni and the other an annoying webinar by the developers who are trying to convince my small village and neighbouring villages that having 10,000 new houses described unconvincingly as "7 new villages to form a beautiful and thriving garden community" is a good thing.
2 long phone calls: my mum who is fine but now getting bored, and my brother who has work in the area so will stay with us from tomorrow till Thurs. So that should make me at least tidy and clean the spare room and bathroom.....like, several hours ago.
As some of the clutter in the spare room belongs in my study (yes I know I keep telling you that) I did at least manage to throw away, with gritted teeth, a whole box file of literacy worksheets dating from.....oh let's not go there. That left the file free for 'special' birthday/Xmas cards which have been in a pile. So that's actually a good declutter.
Walked up to PO to post a few things.
Checked with fellow dog walker when I'm needed this week.
Picked more tomatoes and watered greenhouse.
Looked out some recipes for next couple of days.
Booked for our favourite Indian restaurant tomorrow, a bit anxious as we haven't been inside a restaurant other than our fated breakfast last weekend; however, we are agreed that if we are going for the Indian we may as well get it for half price. If it looks at all risky we'll just have to order it as a takeaway.
Finished a couple of emails I've been meaning to complete.
Having not quite got round to ordering the tablet I'd planned for my Mum's birthday, I went back onto the Arg*s site and to my delight it has been reduced by £40; as I had £20 in vouchers and £1.33 in PayPa1 I ordered it swiftly in case it vanished.
GI well done for keeping your area NotParkRun going single handed!
Right I'm off to do a quick grab of everything in the spare room that ought to be in the study and move it, so tomorrow I'll just have a bit of hoovering and bathroom cleaning to do, plus making bread, a cake, visiting MIL, going for a run etc before my brother arrives at 3pm..........Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.8 -
Morning all
Feeling a tiny bit more positive today. DH has a couple of days off, yesterday we went for a long walk across the moors in beautiful weather then stopped for a takeaway on the way home. Such a treat.
I am back to work today - in the office. No idea how this is going to work out, first time in the office since 16 March! The plan is to do two days a week.
Re toilet rolls, I have nowhere to keep those sorts of supplies, I do have a box in the corner of our bedroom with a few bits in but I always wonder where people store it, unless you have a shed/garage you can use?
Exercise done, might put washing in dryer, lots of socks and pants so seems pointless putting them over the airer. Then shower breakfast, bag packed and off to work! Catch you all later x9
