Morning / afternoonEye test done, it seems my short sightness has changed, new glasses ordered, need to collect in about 2 weeks. ££££ spentWorn out by kitchen fitters etc, various parts doors draw fronts missing, so I've been on the phone yet again and ballcoked a well known diy store they have already made 3 deliveries of stuff that got missed off the order,(their fault) now I need another one tomorrow, I'll get there in the end, but am feeling worn out with it.On top of all this those else where in the world (who I normally visit at Christmas) are heading to the UK and arrive on Thursday and staying with me, talk about giving me notice.............I'm no where near ready to have folk...................I've no oven/ hob / WM / DW............. plus they will have to SI for 14 days, so no doubt I'll be the one running waitress service to the rooms as I'm not going to let them out apart from the bathroom and walking in the garden as per Gov. guidelines, I've told the fitters they have to be out of here by 4pm on Thursday....................................No flying as such done, but I have built a bird table, it is a bit on the wonky, but I am sure the birds will love it!!Dizzy, how are the chicks doing?Breast Cancer Now 100 miles October 2022 100 / 100miles

@Fayolle thanks for that love, it's nice to know my FL Friends are cheerleading me on the frugal front. We managed a break in the rain so headed out for a walk, and came back with even more blackberries and some windfall apples. Wax melts lit now, and I'm having a small vino. DD had a haircut today, and I've arranged for her to go to her grandma's this weekend. Easy dinner of macaroni cheese. It's bonkers to think that in two short weeks I'll be back in the classroom with 30+ kids in one space... hard to comprehend really. DS is getting new school shoes tomorrow (DDs still fit her thankfully), and other grandma always gets the shoes which is a help.
Big hugs to all xx7 -
Thanks for the good wishes for the birthday boy, he had a good day after the doctor and nurse left. He has refused medication.Bathroom cleaned
ground floor dysoned
small flood in the conservatory soaked up with the towels I had brought down to wash as mop did nothing. Buckets arranged to try to prevent the 2nd wave. Very windy here.
Another appointment decluttered

I even emptied the loaf of crumbs out of the toaster!DW needs to go on again and I have the third work surface to clean.. OH is home tomorrow so I won't get a thing done, so I have to do that now.1 binbag for CS sorted and a bag for the uniform redistribution charity sorted.. Meem is dropping it off Friday next week when we are at the outlaws and their collection place is round the corner.1 ebay sale done and collected so I have £16 for bread, dinners, milk and fruit until Friday.. it should be enough.School emails have commenced.. mine are doing 9:15-2:45
Cleaning has destroyed my nails so I have 7 to replace this evening before sock pairing.

You know.. I NEVER do things in the planned order! I am so distracted and unfocused.. So... nails fixed, girls not in bed, DW not done and TD not done...
I've not done the cuppa either.. I had to look in my mug to check that!

Well I went back to the office (thanks all) - it was great!! I share a big office with my assistant and we have lots of cleaning stuff and hand sanitiser. We soon got into the swing of emailing things to each other instead of sharing bits of paper, keeping our distance, having our own phone handset etc. I answered the phone a couple of times when she went to the post office and it was so lovely just to talk to different people. We are not open for visitors yet though so that will be another challenge but so far so good.
DH has been home so he made tea, I have done 9.5 hours so feet up now, DW to empty and refill but hopefully someone else might do that. Will be an early night I think, back in the office tomorrow.7 -

Evening all - I'm still here, but DGS3+4 are quite a handful! The gales haven't helped, but we've been lucky not to have too much rain, so Rosie (and the boys) has had two walks today. They've also helped me make focaccia and Twinks (both got a double thumbs up) and eaten a hearty chicken dinner, so they're definitely not starving! Flying has consisted of cleaning the kitchen worktops, WMx2, and picking up lego and farm animals. We're off to a castle tomorrow...
Glad you enjoyed being back in the office, YL. My DD is one of those in her company who has voted not to stop working from home, because it would mean 2x a 90-minute commute across London in the rush hour - and I don't blame her.
Hope you feel better soon, pigpen.
Glad the cake is going down well, dancemum. It looked amazing!
asb, I wish I had your resolve. You have done brilliantly.8
