    That's perfectly good!  Easy innit?

    You could change this:

"Whilst the Defendant is the registered keeper, paragraphs 3 and 4 are denied. The Defendant is not liable and has seen no evidence of a breach of prominent terms."

    to this:

Whilst the Defendant is the registered keeper and driver, paragraphs 3 and 4 are denied in that the Defendant is not liable and has seen no evidence of a breach of prominent terms.

    Excellent, thank you!

One thing to check, am I correct to think that I do NOT need to attach a completed N9B form along with my drafted defence document?   I haven't seen any mention of that form on here, but it was mentioned to me by the court yesterday so it's in my head.

    Correct. No forms.

The first 12 steps tell you everything, right down to what to put in the subject line when emailing your attached (saved as a PDF) defence.

    Hello all,

A question; if the claimant throws the towel in, should I be notified by the court through the post?  Or, will it just be an email from the claimant?

I've had the latter, several weeks ago, but still nothing from the court.  Slightly concerning as I don't trust the claimant or their representative as far as I can throw them.

    Thank you

Neither,  its usually an n279 discontinuations document attached to a DCB LEGAL email in your inbox or spam folder,  so keep checking both ( the claimant won't send you anything at all, that is a job for their lawyers  )

The court may send you something,  but if you are in any doubt you should contact the court with the claim number and hearing date and find out from them if the hearing slot is vacated for your case

Apologies, it was an email from DCB Legal Ltd, and there was a N279 document attached.  Nothing from the court.  I tried to call them but was on hold for almost three hours before being cut off.

The N279 document has the box ticked for "discontinues all of this claim".

    Excellent.

I'd like to say a very big thank you to everyone who has given me so much help on here.  It is a bit stressful and a bit confusing if you aren't used to it, and I appreciate all the time and effort people here put in to try and stop these crooks.

Please let me know if I should post this result on another thread.

    Thanks!

Please post a (redacted) copy of the N279 in here, and @Umkomaas will catch it and add it to the Discontinuations thread. :)
