  • Thanks to Covid and Brexit I don't think I'll ever be getting a mortgage, but I get your point.  I'll ask the people at the old address to keep an eye out for anything official.

"I'll ask the people at the old address to keep an eye out for anything official. "
what if they forget ?what if they move? what if they don't care?  ..........
you could end up with a CCJ bye default at your old address.

    so ....

Write to the DPO at ECP giving your new address and telling them to erase your old address ... use them words.
you all so need to update your V5 / logbook at the DVLA .... doing the licence is only half the job. ..... and carries real fines for not doing so. :o
    keep on fighting ...

  • Hi Harry, Just wanted to catch up on this and see how it was going?  I've got a similar situation from Templar Street in Leeds from ECP.  Got my first Debt Recovery plus letter today.
Apparently POPLA thinks I should have known that if I'd crossed the street to another ECP car park I could have paid there when the signs didn't say that and they were not picking up their phones due to covid.

Sorry, I don't seem to get email notifications from this forum so I didn't see this.

We had a couple of those 'you must pay now' templates that they send out, but nothing official ever turned up.  I won't assume it's over until the deadline passes.  I can't remember how long that is now but it's years I think..

The deadline is 6 years , the Limitations Act 1980 defines it

Update.  CST Law have taken up the case.

A Letter Before Claim turned up today, with all the 'financial declaration' papers.  They've made a ridiculous error on it and if this ever makes it to court I'll be taking popcorn with me.

I've re-read the newbies forum, specifically the second post and am in the process of drafting a SAR to the parking firm, and a letter to CST, as per the guidelines.  I've also had a good read through the 'CST letters forum group' thread;  https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6166004/cst-letters-forum-group-thread#latest

Just for a laugh I also had a look at CST's office on google maps.  Lot's of 1-star reviews.

I don't really need to ask any questions at this point as I think I have all the info I need.  Unless someone can tell me what PDT stands for?  Is it portable data terminal?
