Sweetsand, are you missing the Q and U keys from your keyboard? You're arguing over the semantics of LR having a Range Rover brand, and an actual Range Rover car (the original Range Rover, let's call it) but you continuously fail to spell Evoque correctly, even though it's been repeated in this thread many times.
  • Is Range Rover really high end though? There's quite a few of them on the road so they're not that exclusive...

No one ssaid they were "exclusive" no car is unless hand made and one off.
    But thanks for the help.
You could not make it up, two usernames here claim to know stuff about cars but they do not know what the difference between a mino landrover and flagship Range Rover is.
  • I wouldn’t have a range Rover for free. The negative image would make me feel embarrassed to be seen in one.

You could not make it up, honestly. The usernames Grumpy_chap and Mercedesdriver claim to know about cars but they have no idea that a Landrover Evoke a car costing from about the mid 30k's is not the same as the Landrover flagship Ranger Rover.
It doesn't matter about the difference.
Did you, or did you not ask for proof of a brand new Range Rover for £36k?
Just in case you have forgotten:

You won't becuse you can't but I will ask anyway. Post the Retail prices of a brand new Range Rover as
    36k pounds as you stated

and a brand new Range Rover for £36k is exactly what Grumpy_Chap linked to:

    RANGE ROVER EVOQUE

    Price From £36,000

If you wanted a link to a more prestigious model you should have stated this before you were proven to be wrong and not afterwards.

But a Range Rover isn't high end as you suggest.
Given your previous posts as well as being gifted with the ability to google, read, learn and interpret correctly I know where I'd lay by bets.
    Spoiler alert it's not you

To Grumpy_chap and Mercedesdriver. I honestly can't still beleive you know so little about cars and trying to defend the indefensible but thanks for the lol's.

FYI and anyone else thinking of buying a Landrover marqure - please be aware that a Landrover Ranger Rover is not a Landrover Evoke a muck cheaper and smaller model in the Landrover brand stable.

    ============

Those reading this thread, please do not be mislead by the misinformed here.

For the record a proper, flagship Landrover Ranger Rover is, see link
    https://www.autotrader.co.uk/cars/land-rover/range-rover

A mino Landrover is an Evoke, see link below
    https://www.autotrader.co.uk/cars/land-rover/range-rover-evoque
I'm pretty good at interpreting gibberish but I have to admit you've baffled me with this one. I have absolutely no idea what you are wittering on about with this.
  • Have you ever wondered what the difference is between the terms “Land Rover” and “Range Rover”? Land Rover is a brand, and a Range Rover is a type of Land Rover model. There is a further distinction between the specific Range Rover model and the Range Rover lineup (informally known as the “Range Rover family”). The Range Rover lineup consists of four models: the Range Rover, the Range Rover Evoque, the Range Rover Sport, and the Range Rover Velar.

Learn more about the Land Rover vs. Range Rover distinction below, then contact Land Rover Chandler if you have any questions or want to schedule a visit to your Phoenix-area Land Rover retailer.

    Sweetsand.
    JLR is the company,
    Land Rover is the marque.
Range Rover is a branch of the product tree within that marque of Land Rover.

The Range Rover family is, from top to bottom,
Range Rover, SWB (starting at £83k ish and going upto £103k) and LWB (starting at around £116k) + editions and special vehicles
    Range Rover Sport
    Range Rover Velar
    Range Rover Evoque. From £36,000.

    The Land Rover branch is,
    Discovery
    Discovery Sport
    Defender.

https://www.landrover.co.uk/families/range-rover.html here's a link to the companies site.
Here's a picture of an Evoque, notice on the right side of the grill the small Landrover badge? Notice the big words across the bonnet? Range Rover.

Here's a picture of the range topping LWB SVAutobiograthy (starting at around £150k). Again, notice the Land Rover badge?

There is no need to fall to the level of personal insults against either myself or @Mercedesdriver and I most certainly do know the difference between the cars referenced.

Range Rover was originally a car model within the Land Rover manufacturer brand.
In recent years, the marketing experts at JLR have created Range Rover as a full sub-brand within the Land Rover manufacturer brand.  This Range Rover sub-brand has a number of different models plus, perhaps confusingly, the 'original' Range Rover model with no further designation.  Perhaps the 'original' Range Rover model now requires a model name within the Range Rover sub-brand.

Either way, if someone simply states that they have a Range Rover, that could mean anything from a £36k Evoque or any of the other models within the Range Rover sub-brand from the Land Rover manufacturer brand.  No doubt the owner of the Evoque will be pleased they have a "premium" product while the owner of some of the other models may feel their brand is now devalued by association.
